Or should I have said "P.S.?" I think I mentioned in an earlier post that I had a couple of books that were tattered and taped together from so much use..and this is one of them. "Gone With The Wind" is another. One is on my nightstand and the other by my reading chair. Yes..I do read other books. "The Life of Edgar Sawtelle" is one that I just finished a few weeks ago. Anyway...I just wanted to say that about my poor bedraggled book. The adorable pillow in my chair and on my sofa table are from Becky at SWEET COTTAGE DREAMS. Those are just a few of the pillows I have bought from her. Her pillows have brightened our home. Becky is on my mind.

  1. I think it´s marvellous that one can see that You read Your books! It´s terrible to come home to people that has perfect books, just because they never read them.

Seemes to be a perfect place to read ones favourite books and perhaps taking a nap :-)

  2. Hi Mona, what an amazing life you've had. I'm so glad you stopped by to visit my blog. I love John Steinbeck novels too! And I agree that making a house a HOME is one of the most rewarding things ever. "Talk" soon!

  3. I love old books...even if they did not age along with me. :-)
Your reading chair looks so comfy and I love the touches of red used in your decor.
What a wonderful room full of personality.

  4. Hi Mona...I love ratty old books! My favorite is my copy of Wuthering Heights that I've had since I was about 14. It has been read and reread. Now I just skip to my favorite parts! It's nice to have a special place to read, too, and yours looks cozy!!! Have a great Sunday!...Debbie

  5. I love old books. I have several. I don't read them because they are printed in German. Anyway they look cool so I have them tucked here and there.

I couldn't see the spot on your chair.

  6. I could have sworn that I left a comment on this post before. *sigh* Anyway, I tagged your over at my site.

  7. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such loving and encouraging words. I'm having trouble not thinking about Becky. Her little pillows looks so cute in your beautiful home. Love your choice of books, too.
    Patricia :o)
