~ALL..DONE..~

The tree is done!  I got sloppy at the end I guess, but I was so tired.  My little great granddaughter won't care anyway!   Loaded it with candy canes and hopefully she will like it.
I am missing a LOT of ornaments but the tree has plenty anyway.  It's just that those were my favorite ones.
I HAVE to find them.  It's really bothering me.
Well, this is it.  It took me the better part of the day to hang them all..but I got it finished in time and I am pleased.  There are a lot of ornaments missing so we have to go search for them in the garage.  The missing ones are my favorites too.  We thought we had all of the cartons down..but I guess not.  At least I had enough to cover the tree pretty well.  I must not have added every single thing last year because the tree is FULL.   ??  It's a mystery.
Sorry my photo is so dark.  I am just NOT a photographer!

I am on a quest to find ALL of my decorations and put them in one place. (I say that every year!)
Love,
Mona

P.S. When I get tired I repeat myself.  :)

  1. Oh Mona, such a big pretty tree. Everything looks so good. I found a lot of things I had forgotten about this year because the crates where not all together. I also write on the crates telling me what's in them. I am sure when your granddaughter saw your beautiful tree she loved the it.
    Have a Very Merry Christmas.

  11. Simply charming, Sweetpea. I keep hearing "Less is more," which does and doesn't make sense to me, but in our case, and think the "More is More" gives us both joy.

Our tree this year is the simplest of the plain---JUST WHITE LIGHTS, for we've been busy, and it's also a live tree in a pretty pot.

Minimal decorations this year, and maximum enjoying. Had a lovely tea party last night, and am ignoring all those dishes til I feel like it. It's so strange not to have a deadline looming.

Best of MORE of everything to you and yours.

    love, rachel

  13. Your tree looks gorgeous! I haven't put up a tree for a few years. The kids are out of the house and we celebrate Christmas and Christmas Eve at my daughter's. They like for my grandson to be at his own house for major Christmas festivities.

Last year and this year I wanted to buy a certain style of prelit Christmas tree. By the time the gifts were bought and some other surprise expenses were met, it was just a little too much to spend money on a new tree too. We have a perfectly pretty one stored in the basement, but I detest dealing with the lights for it. So, downstairs it will stay. Maybe this year the prelit tree that I have my eye on will be on sale for a little while after Christmas. I miss my Christmas ornaments and want to use then again.

I must agree with Balisha about Pic Monkey. I use the free of charge portion of it and have so much fun monkeying with my pictures. Not to mention, getting the pictures level. I always take off kilter pics somehow.

  18. I think it looks lovely! I'm also thinking dear PH hid the rest! Ha! I didn't put half of the things out I usually do and it looks fine, plus nobody has even noticed! That's fine with me!

  19. This made me smile because I, too, am missing a box of ornaments. It wasn't until I saw a pair of old stocking stretchers in a store window that I realised I was missing mine!
