~POSITIVE THOUGHTS~

I am so concerned about my dear blogger friends who may be in harms way.  Please know you are everyone's mind.
Take the best care possible.
Everyone is praying for your safety!
Love,
Mona

My precious granddaughter, Wrenna, and her Dad came to visit and spent the night.  It's been a long time since I've seen them..and I hated to see them leave.  She was on her way to Venezuela to join a crew and learn to sail.  Adventuresome young woman.  Exactly like her mother (my daughter) and her father.  I know I hugged her too tight when she left..and bit my tongue (to some extent) to keep from giving out warnings to her right and left.  She is such a tiny little girl..and to me, seem so vulnerable.
She told me, with her arms around me, "Grandma, picture me in a golden light out there with my arms reaching up, shouting "I LOVE MY LIFE!!!"  I smiled and said I would.
Her father gave me a link so I can track the  movements of her boat..does that calm me??
No!
When is her return date?  That is the hardest part.  She has none.  No cell phone contact.
I am hoping there is another way of contacting her..and since they SAY the boat is very modern..and of course the photo's show this..just maybe we will be lucky and hear from her.
*extremely HEAVY sigh!*

Love,
Mona

  3. Hi Mona Dear - Been away visiting and travelling, now home just in time to pass out halloween treats and light up the goblins on the deck. They look kinda ghoulish in their green n orange light show. You have a very beautiful family and what a beautiful young girl. She said all the right words to you and you felt everyone of them. In your heart you will follow her and hope you share some photos she may get to send you.\Hope everyone is safe from "Sandy" and not in harms way. We are having northerly storm at moment ,with extremely high winds and rain - supposed to mix with "Sandy" by sometime tomorrow ?? Been watching hurricane channels and getting ready. Everything is fastened down and that's about all we can do.
    Take care lol Lilly

  5. What an incredibly brave and strong granddaughter you have there! There were times when I was younger that I had dreams of adventures like this...somehow our world gets smaller the older we get. I don't have any regrets because I still have time to do a lot of crazy things, I guess it just doesn't seem so important now.

I hope little Wrenna has an angel on her shoulder!

    XO,
    Jane

PS...lovely picture of the three of you! :)

I will wrap her also in a large bubble of light and protection.

just take cleansing deep breaths and let us know if you just want to Talk.. sometimes that helps ease the anxiety.

    big hugs to you, Mona.

  10. It's hard to let them grow and know life when we can see the danger and all they see is the adventure. She's a cutie...like her Grandma. Why do I get the feeling you would really like to go along with her?? The rain and wind have arrived but hopefully no snow and no electric outages...The hospital will still be open however! Have a fun Halloween week!

  17. Dear Mona, we will keep your granddaughter's safety in our thoughts and prayers. It is so hard not to worry about loved ones, but many times it's necessary to love and let go..and keep on praying. Thanks for your concerns about all those affected by Hurricane Sandy on the east coast. We have family and friends in our native NJ, who while hit hard by the storm with loss of power, are all OK. Things can be replaced, but people cannot, so we are indeed thankful.

  21. Dear Mona, I will join you in surrounding your lovely granddaughter in golden light. What an adventure. She is at the age when an opportunity like this cannot be passed up. She will make memories to treasure for the rest of her life. Then she will return safely to share them with you. I will keep your family in my prayers as I know you cannot help but worry a bit, the nature of mothers and grandmothers. You have lifted me up so many times here in Blogland. Know that I will be thinking of you as well, Pam
