I did it. I bit the bullet and bought a new camera. Those strawberries were the LAST straw....berry! :)
I turned the air a wee blue while trying to get a clear shot...and what is upsetting, the camera is one that is supposed to be very stable and blur reduction and blah blah blah. Of course it WAS free.
I got it with my credit card points. :) Well, it seemed like a good deal at the time...but..
This is the one I finally bought. Of course I wanted one for a lot more money, but after some enlightening by Di @ The Blue Ridge Gal, I would have been way over my head. I DO NOT read directions...but I have promised myself I will this time! It's light weight, pocket worthy and won't slip out of your hand like a "fresh fish!" Well, that's what they said! :)
*nodding head vigorously!*

This one I can see in my handbag. I usually have to feel around to find anything....plus I am always losing my black cell phone too. Since I have gone gray, I thought, why not! Might as well have a gray camera along with silver jewelry, etc. etc.
I want to thank Di for all her help and information. Not just on this, but other things too. A true and very dear blogging friend!
Should I have gotten the S95? Will I one day be informed enough to discuss the differences? I think not..but...I'll just take my pesky little self and hop over and ask my friend "Di." :):)
If you don't know her...good heavens, you certainly should!
Smart lady, Di!
In the meantime:
The rose bush sweet daughter, Maryalice, gave me is back in all it's glory. It seemed to be dying so I cut it back and LOOK!! Maketh me smile!! :) and :)
See...I pushed the my little butter yellow bench back onto the grass under the arbor...and I love it.
Now to grow my beautiful vines over it...Clemitus?? (how do you spell that? Probably why I haven't found it yet, but I am determined.
For shade an umbrella will have to do for now.
I can spend all morning out here...and still have things to do...When I get my new camera...blah, blah, blah!!
OK! This camera hates me! I just know it! It must know it's on it's way out, because these photo's are not half as bad as what it's been turning out~! GRRRRR!
Can you kill a camera?
Love and hugs and a Happy Mothers Day to all you wonderful Mother's out there!
Love,
Mona

All planted yesterday....finally! Yes...this is my garden..or some of it. Zucchini, and two kinds of squash!! :)
PH won't let me dig up the lawn...I wonder why???
Wha.....a YELLOW leaf? What, oh what have I done wrong?!OK! This camera hates me! I just know it! It must know it's on it's way out, because these photo's are not half as bad as what it's been turning out~! GRRRRR!

Hi Mona.... Make sure you get a small camera case for it too! Otherwise that large viewing screen on the back will become scratched in your purse. Seriously... that's what happened to the last camera I had. :-))
ReplyDeleteLove your fountain, in fact, love all your shots.
ReplyDeleteI love my simple little Canon so much I had it repaired instead of replacing it.
Happy Mother's Day.
I have a little drawstring jewelry bag that I slip my camera into for protection. Works like a charm!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new camera sweetie, I know your gonna have a ball with it!
I appalled my DIL (The Latin Lovin' Hillbilly) when she was admirin' my rose garden. I started deadheadin' and cuttin' back. She goes ...woah...I thought ya had to be gentle with 'em! Heeehehehe!
You didn't do a thing wrong with your plant. When ya transplant they put more energy into the roots to get establish...your gonna lose some leaves...just pinch 'em off!
God bless and have the best Mother's Day sweetie!!! :o)
Oh-I so need a better camera. I'm like you- I know nothing about them..except I want them to work when I want them to.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you -you have a large, wonderful family- xo Diana
Good morning, Mona! Beautiful shots of your gardens!
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty flower shots...and I know you will love your new camera. I had one almost like it and loved it to pieces. Then, I left it on the ledge of the brick on the house one evening and turned the water sprinkler on....ruined my little Canon. Then, I was given a Kodak and it is pretty great, too. I also have a new Canon but haven't taken time to learn it yet.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you can eat strawberries now.;))
Well Mona, were these photos taken by the old camera? I think they are great. Love, love your garden. Happy Mothers day to you and your daughters.
ReplyDeleteHugs

These are beautiful photos of your lovely flowers and plants and if they were taken with your old camera why or why would you want to get a new one? I was having trouble taking clear close-ups and went out and bought a new camera. After trying to get clear close-ups with the new one and failing I decided it was me and not the camera I was using.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day Mona.
Hugs
Beautiful flowers for a lovely lady.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day...Balisha

I bought a transparent screen, cut n peeled back to fit viewing screen and put on - same as little covers they put on your phone or ipods.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos . I love your garden cart and pond - do you have fish in your pond? I also noticed ?? a small lantern in background above cart? lovely
Have fun with your new camera - its always fun to have new gadgets, if you find all else fails, read the instruction booklet. ha,ha

The ladies are all right, have a camera bag to protect the camera.
Nezzy is right, just pinch off those silly yellow leaves, etc. They are just adjusting to the new surroundings.
Happy Mother's day, sweet friend.

Marydon
Hi Mona and a very Happy Mother's Day to you! What a wonderful gift to have given yourself in that new camera - you surely deserve special treats. Your flowers look so lovely and very colorful, just like you dear blogger friend!
ReplyDeleteHi Mona,
ReplyDeleteYou sent me googling for info on your new camera, and I think you made a wonderful choice! The new one will handle low light vignettes so much better. I know your old camera was still doing well outside, but no more blurry inside pics with this new one, I'll bet. I am learning how to use the manual settings on my old Canon Powershot A620. With a tripod, it's doing well in low light, but I know a new camera would do so much better. I love seeing your plants in your patio area. Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day.
G'morn Mona ~ I put it in the comment, chuckle ...
