You see this? Not too bad...right?
...and this is all I have left to go!! All of this is stacked out on the patio!
Maybe, just maybe this is my last Christmas for this decorating thingy! Of course I always say that.
Just one more reason to think I am nuttier than a fruitcake this time of year!
Love and hugs,
Mona :)
Nope, not nutty...sweet, joyful, holiday-loving...but not nutty!
ReplyDeleteOh Miss Mona,
ReplyDeleteSissy, Mom & I will come to CA and decorate for you. (o: We don't think you will stop - it's just overwhelming when everything is stacked up in boxes (M feels the same way). Once your lovely home is decorated IT IS ALL WORTH IT. Have a cup of hot chocolate and you will feel better. (o:
It's 33 degrees here this morning and M is making us some too. Brrrr.
Heaps of Hugs
Prudence
Is all that Christmas decorations? If so You do have a little bit more than I do :-) :-) But if You like it why not? I bet it will look beautiful when it is all up and then it is worth all work You put in to it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day now!
Christer.
Your blog and template look sooo nice today, Mona.
ReplyDeleteAs for the decoration, well... I'm glad it's you and not me that will be putting all of that away again in a few weeks. I think that's why I don't do much of it anymore. I love the feeling that the decorations give to the house in December but gosh, I really DON'T enjoy having to put them all away.

Hi Mona,
ReplyDeleteI decided a couple of years ago to cut down on the decorating(I also was nuttier than a fruitcake). I now have a cute table top tree with the light permanently on.
Love that music; some of my favourites..he sounds a bit like Eddie Arnold(coule it be)and she sings like angel.
Thank you for the lovely Christmas melodies.
I must say: You're good, I didn't want to leave.
Rita
Your tubs of decorations looks like my pile in our downstairs. I have sorted through it all twice this year, but can't seem to get rid of much. I did put together one tub that I plan to let the grandchildren go through(much to their mother's dismay) and take home whatever they want. I hope it makes a big dent! ha Happy Decorating. I love seeing your blog pop up.
ReplyDeleteI LIKE my fruitcake REALLY NUTTY!! Especially those gorgeous, light Hostess ones with the pale cake and LOTS of big meaty pecans---they came in a beautiful golden metal cake-box, and I'm so happy you kindled that memory.
ReplyDeleteI just love the way you deck your halls, Mona, all year---the sweet little vignettes and the items which have meaning from all your life. You just know how to put beautiful things together into a lovely setting, welcoming and warm for your family and friends.
And as we begin the countdown to this Blessed Season, I thank you for welcoming me as one of those friends.
Best of all the best to you and yours,
rachel
Looks like my living room right now! LOL!!

Oh Mona... You make me laugh..... I so wish I could put things out on the patio.... That's not going to happen in the Pacific Northwest.... So rainy and windy..... In fact we had HUGE winds for several days and out patio cover bit the dust... Dang, that just breaks my heart.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you!
Spencer
PS.... Having a giveaway! Come on over! :-)
I thought you were in my garage, Mona!! I think we have the same amount of 'stuff' and I haven't even started. I, too, say I am going more simple, which just means I am going to spread it around differently! lol!!
ReplyDeleteHave fun. Be merry! :-)
XO,
Jane
I have the barrels of decoration out on my carport just waitin' for the spirit to move me cause once I start...there's no stoppin' me baby!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a blast, I have no doubt it's gonna be gorgeous sweetie!!!
God bless ya and have fun :o)
Oh dear, you look like the Christmas bomb is about to blow at your house too. My attic is filled with Christmas decorations. Decorating this weekend. Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I don't know how you got all that on the patio! It's full with out any bins! I haven't even started yet! Hubby was in the hospital for 4 days at Thanksgiving. I was planning on getting started that Friday but he didn't get home till Sat. and has been off work all week. He got an infection in a cut and within 3 hours his finger started turning black and swelling. I didn't notice till the doctor pointed it out that he had three red streaks going up past his elbow. They put him on 3 major antibiotics by IV and two different pills when he came home. All the tests they did were negative so they don't know what it was. He's all better now but it will take awhile for his finger to heal from all the damage. Then I twisted my knee and can't make it up to the attic yet. Will you come decorate for me?
ReplyDeleteI have cut WAAAY down on my decorating. Enough to be festive but not enuf to drive me nuts before it's ready to come down. :))
ReplyDeleteAre those boxes all filled with Christmas decorations? What would you do if you didn't have a patio? I'm giggling now...!
ReplyDeleteI had to search for my Christmas tree this year like I do every year and yes, it was under the bed, where it always is! D'oh
Blessings, Star
Wow! Mona, you do have the 'stuff'! What fun to dig around in there & come up with a fabulous decor. Have missed you, Mona ...
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas ~
Have a beautiful weekend ~
TTFN ~ Hugs, Marydon
Hi Mona..just came from Terry's to pay you a visit. I say...get busy with the decorations and when you're done, come tackle my 9 bins in the garage!!
ReplyDeleteMorning, Dear Mona! Nutty is wonderful as long as you poke some chocolate with it! :)
ReplyDeleteI know, I thought I'd slow down with my decorating this year...didn't happen, I'm not finished either. Just have fun and I'll see it when you're finished. I like your little festive header and I spy a yard bird! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Oh how I do understand all the boxes. Mine is all in the living room, sure wish I would have thought to put it on the patio. You can barely walk through the trail. I am determined to finish this mess up today. Driving me nuts. lol I can't wait to see yours all done to perfection. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHi Mona! I always say I am going to simplify too and I never do. This year I just may. HA!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely to hear from you. Your blog looks so festive. Pretty!
Just do your decorating in little bites. It will happen!
Sending blessings and hugs,
Barb
Did I detect a little God Father in you last comment? LOL! I tell you what, you can be her Blog God Mother! At this point you have a better chance of spending time with her than I do! It may be spring before we can get back to SoCal and they aren't coming up here for a while either. I may have to break down and get video cams for my computer and theirs so we can get to know her.
ReplyDeleteIt's pouring here this morning, we're supposed to go to the Christmas parade this afternoon but it's not looking good...
Howdy Mona Dear
ReplyDeleteOh you sweet girl I love this post!
This is what my house looks like right now and I am afraid with all that is going on in my life it is going to stay that way .
I keep downsizing and sorting and giving away things but somehow I continue to discover another wonderful plastic container of decorations and keepsakes each year:)
Take care and know I am with you praying for all our Men and women to come home for Christmas .
The prayer requests for our soliders gets longer each day .Especially during the holidays .
Big hugs from Texas
Until Next Time
Happy Trails
I hate the mess decorating brings but I love it when it's done! I bet your house will look beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMona, your original comment was there on my blog...but I'm glad you came back a second time to visit anyway:) Ya'll come back now, ya hear?
