This is my oldest, my youngest and my middle child.
What gets me lately is that my children, MY CHILDREN, are getting gray! I'm sorry, but it's shocking to me.
Look at oldest son. He is Emily's grandpa. Where did my baby boy go? Where did they all go?
I guess if we are lucky we get to see our children age, I just thought it would never happen is all. Three of my children are grandparents. My two sons in this photo are both grandparents. Did you know that my youngest daughter of the seven turned 40 this past August?!! Of course you didn't. I need to calm down here...
I need to get a grip!
Patrick, Dawn and Danny. If you do a close up you will see that all three have very green eyes. I have green eyes and so did their father. So it figures that all seven would have green eyes..
The kitchen is painted. The hall is painted. All those cupboards, inside and out...
It's been a long day. I need to visit a few of my bloggy friends and call it a night. I'm tired I think...
Smiles and love,
Mona
Hi Mona!
ReplyDeleteHandsome/beautiful kids!
Hugs,
Spencer
Hi Mona
ReplyDeleteWhat nice looking kids you have. Yes, they do grow up fast don't they.....or is it we are getting old? LOL
Hugs, Ann
They look good!
ReplyDeleteIt is shocking to see our children aging. No wonder we sometimes feel old.
Rita
Hi Mona!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute post! I turned 40 in August too...I think it was harder on my parents then me...ha!!!
BTW...I just announced my 3rd pregnancy (and last)!!! I'm living proof that I really will be the world's oldest kindergarten room mother, but I wouldn't have it any other way!!!
Blessings,
Val
We are all walking down that road, weather we wants to or not :-) But the alternative isn´t something I want to do quite yet :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day now!
Christer.
You are not alone...I think that a lot of us feel the same way....it is really hard to look at these children that we birthed and changed and fed and see them aging. This is when we have to take a step back and take a deep breath and just remember that the important thing is that we are together and enjoying life with each other...if you think about the other, it will drive you crazy. They are all beautiful by the way. Come by and see me and sign up for my Blogaversary giveaway.
ReplyDeleteMona, your children are beautiful! What a delightful post. You're the best!

Hi Mona,
ReplyDeleteMy mom says the exact same thing, all the time! You two are just so much alike it's uncanny to me. Your children are very nice looking and your daughter is just stunning! Have a nice day, I can't wait to see what you've been working on around your home. Cindy
What great looking kids! Every now and then if someone says you look too young to have kids that age (which is getting less often) I would say -- oh they're Rick's with his first wife's. --- then I would laugh and say "Of course I AM his first wife".
ReplyDelete-giggles- All ours are going gray.
ReplyDeleteOf course, our youngest is 46 so it's expected. :-)
Hi Dear Mona! How nice to see your lovely children. I'm sure you still look at them and see them as young children. I know I do. Your daughter looks just like you!
ReplyDeleteHope you're doing well.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Your family is beautiful...Dawn is a carbon copy of you, Mona...so pretty! Oh, those green eyes are gorgeous! One of mine has green eyes and the other blue, both are now getting really silver, no longer my little ones...must mean I am getting old(er). Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteDear girl, you are blessed with a beautiful family. I can't wait to see your finished product. I bet it is all just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend filled with promised blessings!!!
What a beautiful family you have.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a shock every time our children move into a new "stage of life", because no matter what, we think of them as our babies. It was hard when my youngest started 1st grade and both were in school all day long. It is hard now that they both are away at college. I have quite a LOT of gray hair now and my mother probably feels the same way you do about all her girls starting to look older themselves. Time just doesn't stop and we all keep getting older, even our babies.
Hi Mona, we have great-grandchildren now too! and my kids are close to also! YIKES! Where did that time go? I have a fond memory of hearing my grandmother say "I can't believe it Bobby is turning 30!" He was the youngest of five. Now "Bob" is in his 80's. Time flies when you are not watching it! Have a great week. By the way, those are some pretty good looking children you have!

Hi Mona,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful kids. That girl of yours looks just like you. Aren't you proud of them?
Balisha
What nice looking children I know you are so proud of them. My husband and I had dinner with my oldest son and his wife last night. He will turn 50 in August. When we got home I mentioned to my husband "Did you notice how grey they are both getting." Time moves so fast and we should have no time for regrets only be thankful for the full life we have.
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! Your shock over aging children sounds just like my Mom:-). Congrats on the completion of your home remodelling projects - can't wait to see the pics.
ReplyDeleteThey are a nice looking group Mona. In fact, in all the family photos you've shared I haven't seen a bad looking relative yet! LOL! They are all so lucky to have you for a mom. Remember sweetie, age is mind over matter, if you don't mind, it doesn't matter!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dawn
You have such a beautiful, loving family, Mona. I know you cherish them.
