These are my favorites..sitting high on my dish cabinet.
The silver seal on these says "Royal Copley" If anyone knows anything about that name..I would love to know.
I cannot even remember where these came from.. Oh well.
I bought this little lamp from a catalog. I've seen a few around blogland..
I rescued this metal planter from my daughters pile of things she was taking off to Goodwill...
These were bought at different times at Antique stores...oil painting..
This grand old man was another item headed for Goodwill or a garage sale..
I think my daughter was overwhelmed by so much. She will get it back one day.
This sits on the counter by my sink...
I have many more Roosters...but I thought this was WAY enough...so to speak! :)
Thank you to our lovely Hostess Shelia! I am sure you probably know her, but if you don't, do yourself a favor and hop over and become addicted!
Love and hugs,
Mona
What a wonderful collection of roosters you have. I adore the rooster pictures. Hope you're doing well darling. We've had the extreme heat here too, today was wonderful.. looking forward to it being cooler around here.. hugs ~lynne~
ReplyDeleteOh Mona, you have a wonderful collection of Roosters. I used to have sooo many.
ReplyDeleteThis made me miss them. Since we downsized to our RV, I don't have room for them, I have only kept a couple of small milkglass ones. My favorite of yours is the lamp. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Mona and what wonderful yard birds you have! So many colorful ones and the little vintage pair are so sweet! Love those pretty little paintings but that lamp! I love that lamp. I've seen it before too and just drool over it!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for coming to my party.
You are a sweetie,
Shelia :)
What a sweet collection of roos you have. :)
ReplyDeleteI was just looking at the photo of you and your hubby (on the sidebar), thinking how blessed that you have had 3 men in your life that loved you.
Very special, indeed.
I still wish you would write a book of your life..I would love to read it.
How is Sandy doing, Mona?

I've always wanted to have a rooster/chicken kitchen.
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are the framed pictures and the metal planter. You are a decorating genius!
And by the way...I miss your comments. You are always so kind. kt
Visiting from Note Songs, what adorable chicks you do have...the oil paintings are gorgeous!

Hi, Mona! I haven't visited in a while -- this is the "other" Gloria. :)
ReplyDeleteLove all your things! And you know what? I have that same little rooster lamp with the red gingham shade! I got mine from QVC/Valerie Parr Hill. :)
Best,
Gloria
Hi Mona,
ReplyDeleteI love your Rooster collection. It's so enjoyable to see what friends collect.
Bet you are excited that Becca is coming home from Camp Good Bear. We are leaving to bring Prudence & Sissy home at the end of the week. I think they are very ready to come home.
Hugs
Hi Mona -- Oh your roosters are such handsome men. Love your collection. Keeping Sandy in our thoughts and you too.
ReplyDeleteOops, it's me again....
ReplyDeleteGood grief, Camp Good Bear almost sent Becca to you instead of your Abby. Not to worry - all is right with the world.
I believe Abby will be coming home on Friday. I think the camp bus will drop her off at your driveway but you had better call them to make sure. (o: (Am I insane? Yes, of course, I talk to teddy bears.)
Hugs
That sure is a pretty flock of roosters!
ReplyDeleteI'm blog-hopping and seeing all these fantastic roo's and chick's too,I keep seeing these wonderful lamps,I got to have one.
ReplyDeleteLove it!

I love your collection of barn yard birds. You have some wonderful pieces. I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite but I sure wouldn't mind having those paintings or the darling lamp or the planter or......
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to wake up to!! The mornings I've been roused from bed to rooster-crow are far far behind me, but well remembered---in fact, we RAISED one---a teensy, strutting little Banty Rooster---in the HOUSE when I was a teen.
ReplyDeleteAlways good to see your wonderful, bright posts, Mona!

Mona I see a Royal Copley rooster for sale for 39.99...says vintage. Placed called Iowa Sale Barn. Looks like one of yours.
ReplyDeleteRoyal Copley china was made by the Spaulding China Company of Sebring, Ohio, from 1939 to 1960. The figural planters and the small figurines, especially those with Art Deco designs, are of great collector interest. The planters and figurines are famous for picturing human and animal faces.
found this on search. Hope it answers your question.
There can never be to many roosters ion the world :-) Yours are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Christer.
Mona you have a wonderful collection of them. I love the big white rooster and the ones on top of your dish cabinet. They look so pretty up there. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteHi Mona, are you referring to the lamp sitting on top of the rooster chests? If so, the one and only place I can find a bulb that works in it and puts out any light is Hobby Lobby. For some reason all other bulbs are just to large. When I'm there which isn't often I pick up several packages to have them on hand... keep me posted sweetie... hugs ~lynne~
ReplyDeleteOkay I approve of all your roosters - you have quite a lovely collection! I need to get some roosters!
ReplyDeleteAll of your chickens are so pretty! I love all of them! The tall roosters look so beautiful standing up high on a cabinet.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cindy
Wow, such grand roosters. And that lamp is super charming. So glad I came by.
ReplyDeleteGotta love a roo party. I adore the little lamp with the gingham checkered red shade, that is just adorable as are all your roo displays.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic collection!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Gail
You have lots of neat roos, enjoyed seeing all of them!
ReplyDeleteKatherine
Hi my name is Sandra. :)
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty! I love all of your roosters! I'm one of your followers. I don't even remember if I have ever introduced myself. *blush* I've been away for a while but i'm back. :) Thank you for sharing with us.
Sandra
Hi Zelda,
ReplyDeleteYippee, it's almost Friday. I talked to the staff at Camp Good Bear and your Abby should be stepping off the camp bus at noon (your time).
Hugs,
Zoe
Well, in less than 24 hours you and Abby will be hugging, crying, laughing, and jumping up & down. Prudence & Sissy and I will be doing the same thing only on the other side of the nation and 3 hours earlier.
ReplyDeleteHugs
