~ MY (not so) LITTLE RED WAGON~

~Sorry..but I HAD to add that silly song from long ago... *smile*~

YEP!  I finally found one.  A few scratches, but I love it.  I've been looking at garage sales for a couple of years..and Saturday  this one turned up at an Estate Sale.
Ok.  I paid $35  but just look at those wheels.  NOT a single scratch on any of them.
There is some wear on the side..but I'm leaving it.  I am so pleased!

It was a good shopping day...but a bit higher in price than usual.
These were pricey for $10.00, but faux flowers, good ones, cost a lot..so felt this was a deal not to be passed up.  They are out on our patio now...
(this tablecloth will be changed out for a summer on  :) Something..40's ish??  Wait until you see my vintage linen... So sweet! I had five lovely little table toppers..but daughter #3 visited...so..you know...
They were very stained so am working on those.

This lovely large very sturdy (wooden) $5.00
12 lovely napkins, all hand knotted..and 8 placemats... 25 cents each.  Just lovely.

This metal painting I found at a garage sale for $6.00!  We bargained and that is what I paid. Actually, she ran to the curb to catch me when I thought it was too much money.  Thank heavens she did.  You meet some of the dearest folks at garage sales.   The only flaw I could see is that little dent near the bottom right side.  I love it anyway.
I put it out on the patio... over the table and it looks wonderful ...at least to me! :)  It is signed.  The entire painting is metal.

I'm still fluffing the outside pillows...oh..and did I show you that I FINALLY covered the old lawn swing?  This time with real fabric...LOVE it!  Gettin' ready for Summertime!
Love and hugs,
Mona

  3. I love the wagon. That is something I would buy because I can see the potential of it. Just think: you could give one of your dolls a ride in it? I am in 7th heaven with my little grandson because I just HAD TO go out and buy all the things he (I) needed, like a cot, pushchair, highchair etc. Must post on it soon so you can see what I bought. Of course, when Dylan's not in it, then there is room for one of my dolls! I can almost see her smiling :-)

  4. I really like Your red wagon! I think that was a reasonable price for it, it looks almost brand new!

But I have to say that I like that painting even more!! I would gladly have payed double if I had found anything like that here :-)

    Have a great day!

  5. Hi Sweet Friend,

Love the music. Oh dear, it's a good thing that Prudence is away at Camp Good Bear because the first thing she would say is, "why isn't Abby sitting in the "little red wagon", and then "I want one too".

  6. I love you shopping finds. I especially love the bargain you got on those napkins. We bought each of our five grandsons the same wagon. They are all grown now but they still have them. Some are in pristine condition and some are 'bout worn out. I kind of like the fact that some of them used the heck out of them. Have a great weekend. I plan to get our porches "fluffed" this weekend. Hugs, Ginger

  10. What wonderful finds! I don't get to many garage sales but every summer a lovely lady at church holds one and saves me her beautiful vintage tablecloths..I just love them! I want to have a garden party with all the tablecloths on the tables..I think they would look great. I saw your previous post and I love the outdoor area and new concrete..I know you'll pick out the best stones! Now, maybe this weekend I need to venture out to some Gsales!

  11. I am so thrilled you've finally found your wagon!!! It's lovely, Mona and I can't wait to see what you're going to do with it. You have been having a lot of fun again, haven't you? You have really found some great items. I especially like the metal painting! It's exciting 'getting in on' all your preparations for summer. Please do show us your swing in the next post :) Hope the paving is coming along splendidly! Can't wait to see the finished effect ;)

    Big hug,

  12. I think every household needs a red wagon.
You did pretty good with all your purchases and it looks like you had the perfect spot planned out for each item...
My neighbor is the queen of garage sales..if I need something, I just put her on it. It might take a month or two, but she will almost always find it...
    Have Fun...
