~A TINY HUTCH, BUT SO SWEET..~

Our sweet Marty @ A STROLL THRU LIFE is our wonderful hostess!

This tiny hutch belongs to my husband and I feel I am just it's caretaker. It is so small that a dinner plate cannot be laid down on the shelves. Still..it's so sweet and very much from the past when "maple" furniture was the thing to have.

This little velvet bunny with an egg strapped to his back is an addition to my Easter things this year. I am drawn to the velvet I think.

This little wooden egg was painted by a local artist here in Riverside. I love her things. The bunny is a little distorted in the photo. He is perfect actually. It's my photography....well...it lacks a bit.. :) One of my favorite things...

The simply beautiful faux cake was made by a wonderful artist on Etsy. Her name is Rhonda @ Ronda's Rose Cottage Designs and I love her work. The little spoon was by an Ebay artist who's name I have forgotten. I have a collection of eggs from this woman and will look up her name when I post the little eggs. Anything hand painted or hand made, to me, is wonderful.

This tiny chickie in it's shell is another creation of that same artist. I really MUST look up her name. The eggshell is real! See the tiny bit of shell stuck to the baby's head?

This is a slice of cake...I just loved the colors she uses...and it looks adorable in the little hutch.

This hand painted bunny and the eggs are also hand made. The eggs were from a booth in the Mission Galleria here in town. .. foil covering real eggs.
...and this is my contribution to Marty's TABLETOP TUESDAY...Thank you Marty!!
Love and hugs,
Mona

  5. Beautiful hutch and blue and white dishes, Mona.
I had maple furniture in the 1960's. When we moved to Nashville, we bought several pieces. My daughter has a bedroom set, from that furniture. I gave my mother the coffee table and end tables when we moved back to Missouri then she passed them along to my sister. Maple is so pretty.

Thanks for your sweet visit to my "Wicked" tablescape today -- it was fun to put together -- I liked the green with the black, I'm sure to use that combination again sometime...(not very seasonal for Spring though).

  23. I don't have a great deal of decorations for any of the annual holidays, and yet my cabinets seem full! Sometimes I just want to give them all to Goodwill and start over.

  24. P.S. I have a small maple dresser and chest of drawers that were my dad's first set that he received in the early 1940's in his teen years. They are still in good condition and I love the look of maple that has been well cared for.

Girlfriend, I love, love, LOVE your faux cake! That is one of the prettiest that I've seen done up...it's gorgeous!!! So what are they using to make those? Is the frosting made out of plaster? I've just never seen one up close and personal! I need to get one so I have something to keep under my cake dome..hehe! I'm not much of a baker! Last but not least...I just wanted to tell you how beautiful your hutch looks with all of the blue and white dishes...it's lovely, Mona!!! All of your vignettes and centerpieces just look divine!!!
