~THANK YOU, GOD~

There was no time for a note. I just suddenly became very ill with a high fever, nausea etc. I have a massive colon infection BUT there is no cancer or tumors! Antibiotics and good doctors and I am back home. It isn't over of course, and I may have to have part of my colon removed, but for the time being..I am trying to have a positive attitude.
I have a very supportive family and good friends, not to mention wonderful doctors that got me back on track to being well again. I really have not felt well for a very long time...and now I know why. I am doing good. Wish me luck!
I prayed for God to get me through this...and now it's up to me to do my part.
So..BRING ON THE MEDS AND PEDEALYTE! (the latter being for hydration!) :)

The one good thing about my hospital stay was this view from my window. It was like being in a large tree house! I was on the fifth floor! When the wind blew I nearly got motion sickness! Not really! :)

This may not seem like much, but when you are waiting to see if you have cancer...it means a lot!

It's good to be back! Pray for me...ok?

Love and smiles,
Mona

  1. My prayers for your speedy recovering and the doctors to be blessed with healing hands.

I'm so glad your okay. At least as well as can be expected I suppose.

I too have to do the pedialite when needed during flares. It does help.

    Hugs and love my friend.

  2. Mona Sweetheart, I am so sorry that you are going through this. It must be very painful and you know I am saying prayers and was even before I started to comment. But if your doctor said you did not have tumors or cancer, then you don't. Let's see if the antibiotics work. If your colon isn't damaged, there will be no need for surgery.

I think you are in good hands, my friend, both with your doctor and God.

With all my prayers and love,
    Jane

  41. Dearest Mona. What a trying few days. I am so sorry you had to experience that. It's just a horrible feeling. But from reading your post it sounds like it's good news! It might be "a little inconvenient" which is the way I like to look at things sometimes, but it's better than the alternative.
I'm not that far away - if you ever need ANYTHING - you just let me know Girl.
Praying for you and your family, and trust that all will be will. God is GREAT!
    Big hugs my friend. Karen

  51. Mona, I went through colon surgery a year ago and recommend if they talk to you about surgery, talk to them about the recovery time. I still have serious problems and my surgeon said I could feel this way for three to four years. It's worst than my recovery from bypass surgery. 10 times worse. Get the facts and go from there. Good luck!
