~IT'S SPRING AND PATIO IDEA'S ...

... just keep coming.. I was up at 5:30 this morning outside puttering.

Yesterday my sweet daughter gave me another of her arbors that she can't use anymore,

...my mind began to start to wonder what to do with it.  We don't exactly have a ton of space in our yard..so my daughter suggested I sit it right next to the patio..and I agreed!  So that's where it went...and then...but..on the grass???

..then my sweet son in law suggested that he lay more flagstone under the arbor..and then we can

just move the bench back under the arbor on the flagstone and...

(see? do you get the idea?)  just push it back and then..

plant several of these sweet Black Eyed Susans, or whatever they are, on both sides and let them climb over the arbor..covering it in no time flat.  Ok, so it won't be overnight. But
won't that be a sweet, shady, cozy, extra place to sit??
I thought so too! :)  This vine is just gorgeous covering an arbor.  The yellow and greens will look wonderful I think.
Now I can't wait to get started on that...(tap, tap, tap..)

I can see it all now..can't you?

Luv'n hugs,
Mona

  2. What a sweet son in law to help you with that. Very nice arbor and I can see that climbing flower covering it. I had that last year and it is so easy to grow....just add water! Lovely!

  3. hi mona! i have arbors everywhere and have trained new dawn climbing roses and clematis and honeysuckle, just don't put anything too heavy like wisteria or pyrocanthia! i have made that mistake in a few places. fall flowing is a fast growing and beautiful clematis which flowers prolifically in autumn.

  10. .....and the wheels in er 'ead go round n round, round n round, round.....the wheels in Mona's 'ead go round n round - great plan for er new arbor!
Oh, you have such great colour in your beautiful photos and we are still just watching little things pop up out of winter's ground. We did, however, get the chairs n table out of barn and ate lunch on back deck on the weekend - now we are experiencing that huge dropping of rain, thunder n lightening coming from Boston. Can you believe that upper New Brunswick had tons of snow instead of this torrid rainfall that is falling on our little town. Well, girlie, enjoy your sun, your flowers and your new arbor. 11. Oh how envious of your garden am I! We have a walled courtyard out front, but the chickens and geese spend a lot of time in it, and then there are the builders to-ing and fro-ing, all of which have contributed to making the area almost bare-earthed. I said to Lester that we must try and get the chicken hut built this year so I can start working on the garden in the courtyard. Meanwhile, I look at your garden, get ideas, and yearn! Am also well impressed with your early start to the day. I am an early riser normally but since the cold weather of February I seem to have lost my mojo in regards to getting up!

Ok... sweetie.. Google Chrome is safe, you can use it, Aol, Sbc, Internet Explorer etc. I downloaded Google Chrome when Internet Explorer started acting up. I use it Internet Explorer, as well as Yahoo and G Mail... I've discovered Google Chrome is actually faster than Internet Explorer, like you I just "can't" give up my AOL... hugs darling.. ~lynne~
