I tried. Sometimes the directions work..and sometimes they do not.
I bought these apothecary jars from Victoria magazine.. I thought they were so cute. I added the ribbons and then decided on the buttons too. |
A big pumpkin button on this one...I had fun! See the eyeballs? :) |
A few bats flying across the garage door...... |
I added the rats across the back of the couch. Neat huh? |
The more I played with these the better I liked them. I love the Martha Stewart wall art and usually don't do much outside the house..but this year I found this too tempting. |
Decorating for all the different seasons has been a joy of mine ever since I had my first child. As time goes on...each year I think I am NOT going to do it anymore. NOT this year, and every year I get caught up in the magic of it and am off and running.
In the blogging world you are never alone. That's what is so great about it. A world within your world.
A total source of fun...I love it!
You are my sunshine!
Mona

ReplyDeleteAnd bats running all over the place and the mice behind your couch, too cute!
I think it's wonderful that you still get into the Halloween decorating. And for those uploading pics, I am struggling with that too. I think it's blogger so don't feel bad, they always change something.
And my Mom, she is doing well. Thanks for asking, your the best!
Hugs,
Cindy

I used to love decorating but I seem to let the seasons and holidays pass as only another day.
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are wonderful and have left me craving malted ball candy!
Oh, what a smile I'm having with my First Cup!!
ReplyDeleteI do love your Silhouettes---especially the frisky little mice cavorting on the couch. And all that work on the jars makes them one-of-a-kind and doubly special. (I hope you sewed the pumpkins with your little sewing kit).
Great fun, as always, Sweetpea!

ReplyDeleteAnyway...I'm trying once more and if this doesn't go through I'll try again later today.
Thinking of you my friend. Now I'm off to read some of your past posts. I'm behind!

Hi Mona,
ReplyDeleteI love your candy dishes all decorated with festive ribbon..Yummy!
I get bloggers block too and many times I just run out of time to post(God needed to create more hours in a day)
I put out a few things, maybe I'll post a few pics of my fall decor...
Have a sweet day and hugs, Elizabeth
I´ve been sitting in front of my computer for over an hour today until I finally had written something in my blog :-) :-) Sometimes it´s just impossible :-)
ReplyDeleteNever stop decorating! I come from a family that never has decorated especially much and I have continued the same way, but I know how happy peoples get when they decorate :-)
Have a great day now!
Christer.
Well dear, you know that you can never stop decorating. You have to continue to make happy memories for all those darling grandkids you have. You do such a good job of making every day a special day but you pull out all the stops for Holidays. Very cute.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Joanne
What cute decorations! Would you please pass me that jar of candy? heehee! And stop by soon to enter my giveaway! ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteHi Mona. How cute are the bats on the garage door and the mice. I love these silhouettes. I do less decorating that I use to do when my children were small but I have to stick out some every year but it is mostly of just a fall theme anymore. I guess I am getting lazy and the Fall them works for a few months. LOL!
ReplyDeleteLovely and creative decorating. I love your style. Happy Haunting...
ReplyDeleteI love it, Mona! Blogging keeps me decorating, too! lol I hope you are having a great week!...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteOkay, I was alright until i saw the rats on the back of the beautiful couch. Why you ask? Knowing my strange cat oscar, he would probably stumble into the living room at night where the rats would appear as shadows, eh? See where I'm going with this? Too cute Ms. M.. too cute. Hugs. Tammy
ReplyDeleteMona,
ReplyDeleteYou are right, blogging is a world within a world and we do feel that we are not alone. How wonderful for us all! I love your mice running around. Can you tell me where you got them???
xoxo
Robin
I certainly do struggle with blogging - finding the time, finding the words, making the dern pictures turn out where I want them. But you do a lovely job, my dear! I loved your kitchen and I LOVE your decorations today. I was so tempted by those jars. Victoria is far and away my favorite magazine - I have them going back YEARS and always say that when we win the lottery, I'll just hand the stack to an interior designer and say, "Make my house look like THAT"!!
ReplyDeleteHi Mona, I love your Halloween decorating! I'll bet the kids LOVE comning to your home! You have a great week!

Hi Mona...Your posts always brighten my day. Your halloween decorations are spooktacular!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful decorations!! Lately every time I post pictures on my blog it takes forever!! Yours look great!!
ReplyDeleteHi Mona, just dropped in from the Cottage by the Crane Lake and your decorations are lovely. And I do know what you mean about finding time to post and read blog. We are on a month-long road trip through Maine and out all day and trying to post and read blogs in the evenings in our motel room. Traveling is fun, but sometimes more work than being home! Please feel free to drop-in for a visit anytime - we welcome all comments.
ReplyDeleteI love your pretty jars filled with goodness...I just wish I had ONE MORE SPOT to put something. Seems my cottage is totally full and can't handle another thing. Well....maybe ONE more!! :))
ReplyDeleteI love all your cute decorations. I love decorating for the kids...they are so easy to please.
Oh, if you are using NEW EDITOR, I have the secret of loading photos...email me...:)
G'morn Mona ~ I love the jars & ribbons, what a darling idea to accent them. Your home is going to be enjoyed by the kid-lings for sure. Love it all, you are so delightful in your holiday decors.
ReplyDeleteI used to decorate BIG time, but not so anymore ... just the porch & bay window & still on the conservative side now.
Have a beautiful PS weekend ~
TTFN ~ Hugs, Marydon
Where did you get those mice? or are they rats? Anyway they are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI have a problem with pictures on my Blog. Once I get them uploaded, I find I cannot move them to a different location so I have to get it right first time and that's difficult.
Keep decorating and we'll keep watching.
Blessings, Star
I've had trouble loading more than one photo at a time. I'm not sure why. Your decorations look so nice. I think about not decorating too, but my kids start asking me when we're going to decorate, so we always seem to end up doing it :-)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
Ewe! The rats give me the shivers more than any witch or bat! I keep saying I'm going to decorate in a more sophisticated way like so many of the bloggers do but the kids like cute and fun so that's what we stick with.
