~AN APOLOGY IS IN ORDER...~

Hi...
Not much today and no show and tell for me. I'm afraid I need to apologize to some of you for not getting your "buttons" out sooner. I DO grab them with every intention of putting them on my blog. I'm trying to catch up.

I wrote one of my sweet blogger friends last night and told her I was falling behind, and did some bellyaching. I am getting a taste of what others have gone through when they wanted to pull the plug on blogging. Not yet, I'm still enjoying it and I know that there are going to be moments like this when you just cannot find a thing new to put out there.
Or you don't want to write what really goes through your head.

There are so many buttons to post and sites I want to visit and comments I want to make that are worth writing and it just is not really getting done. I want to do the "meme's" as they are called..but they are over before I remember that it is time for them. So I seldom get one done. Anyway, I'm sorry. I really do want to join in doing things, and visit and take part..but..it isn't working.

To my blogging friend I wrote to last night, please do forgive me for dumping on you. It was not the thing to do. I found out you cannot get a letter back if they are not on the same server! Frustration sort of took over..I won't do that again. It wasn't right and I feel bad about it.
Love and hugs,
Mona

  2. I think it's the time of year. Not much going on here either, except the usual day to day stuff. Spring is just around the corner though!

  3. Oh sweet Mona, there is no need to apologize! Blogging is meant to be a time for fun, not meant to be a burden. You do what you can when you can. I often feel like I am not keeping up and then I remember that's not what it's about and do so enjoy visiting everyone. I am so inspired by all of you!

  5. Mona, you are so dear. Your post has given me the courage to admit....gulp...I have considered leaving blogging recently. Don't get me wrong, I love it but I can't keep up lately. Now that spring is here I want to be outside more and garden more and I just feel swamped. I have decided to forego doing the memes for a while because I feel guilty that I cannot visit ALL the bloggers.

So.....please dear one....don't feel alone. I think we all struggle at one time or another. Truly I do.

    Hugs, Barb ♥

  6. Oh Mona,
As the ladies above have all said, blogging is supposed to be fun. Don't feel preasured to comment, post, meme, whatever. You are very special to me. Keep on a blogging (when you have time) Life's too short and too precious to worry about these things.
    Hugs and smiles!

  7. Hi Mona,
It is hard to keep up with all the comments and buttons and such. But, keep in mind that blogging is suppposed to be fun. No one will be upset with you if you don't have their button on your blog, or you fail to leave a comment or just don't have time to visit each and every blog. We are all in this together and understanding is what makes us all so close.

So stop worrying and apologizing and just let us love you the way you are.

    hugs
    Sissie

  8. Hang in there Mona. You have a fabulous blog and I don't think you should put so much pressure on yourself. I do mine because I think it is fun. Besides mostly family and close friends visit mine... I guess that is why I don't feel the pressure that some of you do. If it weren't fun we wouldn't do it. Have fun and keep doing what you're doing.(when you can...) Hugs,
    Jennifer

  9. It does become so overwhelming at times. We all have to relax and enjoy blogging. If we are feeling pressured, it is because we are pressuring ourselves (believe me, I do it all of the time). Hang in there. You're doing great, and if you don't post for awhile or you don't visit some blogs, I'm very sure that most of them will still be there when you go back! laurie

  10. Mona, don't worry about "keeping up", cuz I think we are all trying to figure that out too, and we totally understand. Blog when you want. Comment when you want. IF you have time this week, stop by my blog- I"m having a giveaway.

  11. When I get that feeling I just tell every one that I will take a week vacation from my blog :-) It usually helps :-)
    Take care now!

  12. Just found you! I agree, blogging should be fun and from the heart. Overdo and it becomes an unpleasant chore.
Not to sound out of tune, but all the give-aways and awards passed round and round overwhelm many, then they retreat.
Back to basics, back to relaxed enjoyment, I say. And do! ♥

  13. Sometimes we are all overwhelmed , and as others have commented, that is not what blogging is s'posd to be, is it? I pretty much assume we all have lives we lead that do not include being attached to a computer and being held hostage to all the other bloggers we love to read and have them read us.If a blogger disappears for awhile I usually assume LIFE requires their presence, or they have taken on other more interesting and necessary interests. Thanks for being honest and hey, I understand completely!

  14. Oh Mona, you are so sweet and precious. As everyone has stated we all go through this at one point in blogging. It really does have to be fun and not pressure.

I don't know one person that doesn't enjoy getting comments and followers. The more involved you get the more pressure you feel. I was trying to post a few times a week and join memes, but that proved to be too much right now. So for now I am going to post once a week for sure and try more if possible. Try picking only those things you reeeally enjoy to bog about:)

Look at it this way, Spring is on its way and with that more things to enjoy and post about (no pressure though).

We all have a life to live and families that require our attention. We love you and would truly miss you if you were not here.

With all of that being said, I really appreciate your sweet and informative comments on my blog. Thanks so much for visiting and have a blessed week.

  15. Oh sweet Mona, we're all in the same boat with only one ore paddling in circles around the big old blog lake. I have to say I'm overwhelmed. A year ago I had only two followers and I followed only two. Keepin' up....not so bad. This year I follow 40 and try to comment on every new post....I've got to do something about that. I have followers hoppin' on faster than I can thank them, not a bad thing but I have to get some kind of control here. This monn' I have 171 followers who I try to get to each of their sights at least once a week. I'm amazed and honored here, not complaining. Again...control!!!

The Ponderosa is a large workin' farm and I am a busy lady. I have an acre of yard filled with flower gardens to keep groomed in the summer. I need to find a good balance myself. I don't want to give up blogging, I just love everyone to death and I've made so many wonderful friends.

Poor baby, now I've dumped on you. Thanks for listenin' sister. Maybe we all can figure this thing out together.

God bless you and have a fantastic Tuesday!!!

  17. Dear sweet Mona, you are being way too hard on yourself. There simply is not enough time in the day is there? I don't think you need to apologize at all - that's the wonderful thing about blogging, everyone is so understanding because I think we are all in the same boat. If I had all of the buttons I really wanted, my blog would be a mile long!
    xoxo,
    Kim

  20. Sometimes it's hard to remember that we do this for fun and it becomes a job. Write when you want to. Visit when you want to. Don't lose the fun.

  21. Oh Mona! It is ok to feel that way. Just sit out for a while. That's what I do. I think there is a button out there somewhere that says BWO Blogging Without Obligation. The way I get around it is that I will set up several posts and then don't release them but once a week. Or I will try to do one recipe, one craft one shopping. That way I am "saving" my posts. It is just an idea. I hope you don't give up. You have such a lovely blog and home. I would miss you!

  22. Every now and then we have to "stop the world" and jump off, prioritize, rest, and then jump back on...no reason to have to explain - we have all been there!
