~BLESSED AUTUMN~

Thank you to Rhondi's ROSE COLORED GLASSES for hosting this wonderful welcome to Fall..

~I love sunflowers..so I put some in the kitchen...

~And a few Fall flowers on the front porch...

~ ...add a Fall WELCOME mat...

~..decorate the mailbox..

...and of course Fall flowers on the front door...

~.... more Fall flowers on the patio....

~a few silk Fall leaves to hide the clothesline...

~A pretty tray with Fall leaves on it for $1.99 and a $2.99 pot of Fall leaves to go with my favorite Fall tea set...add to the Autumn feeling....

~ ..some Witchy boots filled with more Autumn leaves...and and a little black crow for atmosphere...

~and I couldn't resist these Velvet Witchie booties with spidey buttons to add the whimsy I love... :) (Pier 1 Imports of course)

~ and more Autumn leaves on the chandelier to add more color...(like I NEED more color?!) :)

~Tiny lit Autumn lights for the mantel. This mantel...I probably have told you before..is an old corral post. A long ago trip to the ranch, and the barbed wire was cut off it..we hauled it home and sanded and stained and...anyway...I LOVE it. Long story...a different time..a broken heart...and memories. Autumn is full of memories for me...

~ A close up of the lights. It's like Christmas every Fall when I unpack my "Autumn Leaves and my memories of lost loves.

New found happiness and new found treasures...and life goes on.

Love and hugs to you, and smiles greet this new season...
Mona

Mona, your colors are fabulous! I can so feel Autumn on your blog. These are my favorite colors.
This is sort of a melancholy time of the year. I lost both parents last year, my father on October 23rd, so I have that milestone facing me. But my mother loved Fall just as I do, so I am rejoicing in my parents' memory that it is a season of change. God brings us the promise of new beginnings that won't be so far off. These bright colors cheer us onward.
Love those witch's boots! Pier One, you say. This year???? I try to put a little humor in each room, so maybe I need to go find these boots!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I think we're going to find we have a lot in common, new friend!
Have a wonderful Autumn day.

Just Beautiful, Mona!!

I love your commentary, as well as all the splashes of wonderful color. You must wake up and walk into the most splendiferous landscape, right there inside your own house.

And what you said about Fall as a closing time, preparing for rest, to make way for the whole new world---lovely.

Hi Mona!! Long time no blog or comment but I finally am having a few minutes to do extra things in my life! What a wonderful display of fall at your home and done in such a breathtaking way! You are quite the decorater and you always give me inspiration to do the same with my little home. We just had a harvest dinner on Sunday. My kids harvested my veggies from the garden and everyone left with sunflowers, pumpkins, butternut squash, green beans, carrots, gourds, cukes, zuchinni and summer squash, green peppers and corn. We had a frost the night before and had to pull everything! It worked out perfectly! Thanks for your lovely displays...you are a natural at this stuff! I will be back soon to blogging. My livingroom is done but the finishing touches are still afloat.:)

By watching Your pictures I get a feeling that You like autumn :-) :-) :-)

Lovely flowers and You have so muany! I really like chrysanthemums, but haven´t bought any yet. We can plant them in our gardens over here, but they flower so late that frost usually takes them before flowering.

I really like Your clock on the mantle!
Have a great day now!

Thanks for your kind words. The sun is shining now in Atlanta and I hear the water is drying up. They expect more rain but not the amounts we had so far. When you come to Atlanta let me know in advance and we can meet up with some other Atlanta blog gals. I use to live in San Francisco so I remember how it use to rain in the winter and also the fires in the southern part of the state are terrible once the winds come in. Take care.
