~SHAKE YOUR TAIL FEATHERS~

Thank you to Barb at
Bella Vista for hosting this delightful event! What a great idea!

I am going to make this easy on you. Nothing to get all excited about..however I do want to share this with you.
Today, just a few hours ago..I went into a little store called Gardners Cottage. Of course I have my eye out for roosters...and THEN...there HE was..in all his glory!
YES! The king of all roosters. He was white..and stood about 2 feet high.
Now..would you believe I actually considered BUYING that rooster?? He was wonderful!
He was GLORIOUS! As I reach for him...I came to my senses...when I saw the price! $499.00!
I didn't walk out of that store! I RAN! :)

My first and newest offering is this sweet little tassel! I love him!

And a dishtowel? Does this count?

Does a tablerunner count? Well...it certainly should! :)

And then there is this one...

...and this one...

Yes...and this one...

This one....

and this one...

(Yawn...and this one...)

Uh huh...

I'm almost done...

Yeppers!

Are we almost there? Oops! "She is a chicken, Mamsabe!" (Out of Africa quote!) Oh well, she is the mate of him...below. I couldn't leave her out. I mean, how could I do that! Anyway...

OK...ALL DONE!

No..I don't know the names of them. I know there will be others out there that will name these cuties...but not me.
I have a beautiful painting of roosters...my favorite one..and it, naturally didn't turn out. No matter.
There are going to be soooo many roosters to look at that you cannot possibly care!
~smile~
NOW..the good part. I'm shakin' my tail feathers all the way to your blog to look at YOURS! You ready??

Hugs..
Mona

  1. Mona, gee, for some reason I KNEW you would have plenty of roosters in the hen house! Always enjoy your blog! I should have joined in this fun party, but have way to many irons in the fire already..:(

  2. I just love you Mona! You got it! Now I want to know if you hear the farm noises in the background of my post? You have to turn up the sound a bit, they are quieter than all the music on the other blogs so I don't think anyone is catching them. I guess it doesn't really matter 'cause hubby just told me one sound is a turkey not a rooster!

I love your roosters and am so glad you escaped from the giant white expensive one. I don't think any of us here are that crazy! We're far to thrifty! Don't stay up all night partying! Have a great weekend dear!

  62. Ahhh, I love those majestic birds. It was a few years ago when I was at a flea market and came upon a real live rooster in a cage. I wanted to take him home so badly but I knew that MHS would never go for it. Instead I settled for decorating my kitchen with roosters. We are in a perpetual state of construction but my collection is growing. Thanks for sharing your roosters.
