~RETURN OF OUR SONS TO IRELAND..~

Patrick dreamed of returning to Ireland, he talked and planned and read everything he could about the country. His father was from Ireland. How happy he would have been to know his sons finally realized his dream..even if he did not.
My son Patrick and his wife, Cheryl, brought me this marble egg from Ireland. They made a beautiful video of their trip and had it set to Irish music. What a beautiful country!
My next to the oldest son, Mike, and his wife Cindy, brought me these lovely Irish lace curtains from Ireland when they returned home. They know I LOVE roses

  3. Oh, how nice is that egg? Pretty nice I'd say. Reminds me just a tad of the glass paperweights from the 60's. I covet your egg...

  7. Hi Mona..actually these are not embroidered, they are Irish lace. I'm glad you like them.

Shelia..I'm glad you like my curtains. Pat and Mike and their wives all traveled together. Pat and Mike...I know..lots of room for jokes there! :)

Di, yes, the egg reminds me of a paperweight too, but it is an egg and does not have a flatish side to it so it must be in a stand. Supposed to be over a million years old..so it said..but..please don't quote me on that one! :) No, no..you canna have it! :)

Allidink..Hey cutie..GO to Ireland on your honeymoon whenever that might be. Grab the brass ring!

Happy To BE...Both sons went..and yep, that egg is a nice one. Feels..good to hold. You know?

SMB.. Yeah..it was nice that they were able to do that. Thanks for saying I raised nice kids...I think so too. :)

  12. How blessed you are:
seeing your children realize a parent's dream - What Joy!
receiving such beautiful gifts from a child - beloved gifts!
I too love Ireland. Although our heritage is Scotch Irish. Hah, what a shock that I am a descendent of political activists who were banished to another country :-).

  13. I'm glad I made it back. The signature on my post was messing things up so I had to remove it.

I'm at work on my lunch hour and I thought I would check in.

It's starting to get cold here again and the weather man is calling for snow. Ugh! We already have flowers in bloom.

I´ve never been to Ireland, but those who have been there always tell me how beautiful it is there.
