~THE ELUSIVE TOPIC...~

Here we are, pushing June AND I have nothing.
NOTHING, I tell you!!
This is a picture taken this Easter with PH's family..his grandsson and wife and their little girl turning a year in June.  PH's first great.   I am nine ahead of him.
:)
Please click to enlarge.   It helps a PH and I a little.  lol  I said "a little!"
I have been so terrible about taking pictures..and posting and it's not getting a lot better very fast and I apologize for that.  Springtime usually finds me in the back yard messing with the patio and yard but the heat will drive me back in soon.

There are new pictures of us on facebook, posted by family and if it were not for family, there would be no pictures of us at all.  Truthfully, I am not fond of looking at pic's of myself and neither is Howard.  Not any more!!  :)

I have ordered a little gate for our front porch with a heart on it.  It should be here by the 30th of this month...according to the Professional IronWorks.  I will take a picture of it when it's installed.

I hope all of you are well and that this election business isn't driving you as nuts as it is me!
Sometimes I leave PH all alone watching the news.  He hates it when I scream at the TV.  :)

Take good care..
Mona

  1. Hi Mona, of course, you have something to share and you did today with this family gathering. Looks like a wonderful family get together. Congratulations to Howard on his first great grand. And, now I do not watch the political news stories...thank goodness we do not subscribe to any cable services! Welcome back!

    1. Kathy, I think many of our bloggers have gone to facebook. I only go there if my children put up photo's or a friend mentions me. You are I are in the same boat it seems. :) HUGS!

  3. Facebook is no where as good ad blogging. Facebook is just a busy place and blogging more polished I think. Hope that does not offend anyone. When you take the time to post, and I think about all the beautiful posts you have shared with us Mona, I truly like Blogging and at the same time find FB convenient for short stuff. I have enjoyed watching your house change season after season and holiday after holiday. I have enjoyed your stories from previous years, present and past. Its not about how much you publish in blogger, its the fact that you still do. Keep it up as long as its good for you.....otherwise, I know I'll find you when I need you on FB or just call you kiddo. Lovely photo. I am afraid PH is going to have to get out that mirror, cause we need some California sunshine up this way.....but if his arms start aching, tell him to sit down and hold the mirror a bit longer. ha,ha Miss ya kiddo and your Maine Man. xoxo

  9. Little girl is so cute, looks like her momma. I know what you mean about not liking to see pics of yourself, but honestly Mona you look beautiful. Your family got their good looks from you and I'm sure their father too. Always glad to see a post from you.

    1. She really is the cutest baby. Howard's family is overjoyed with this first grandbaby and his first great. I wasn't sure if you knew or not..but my children's father died 19 years ago. But you are right..my children do look like their Dad.

I hope you enjoy this holiday weekend. Im planning a memorial day picnic here. looks like the weather is going to cooperate! as for the election.. it sickens me that these are the best weve got for choices... I feel we are doomed either way. But God is in control and I have to rest in that.
    Happy Day my friend!

  15. I was happy to see you here today. That is an excellent family photograph; very beautiful Great grand daughter. You look pretty in the photo, too. I understand just what you mean when it comes to blogging. My life is very ordinary. Sometimes things come up that seem blog worthy, but by the time I get my photographs loaded and post written, it just seems kind of stale to me. It seems to me that quite a few of the bloggers that I read are going through similar feelings right now. Maybe we are just feeling kind of emotionally swamped by all of the election stuff on the news, or something, I don't know what. Most days I pretty quickly reach a point of over saturation with the news and have to just switch it off.

I hope you are having a wonderful holiday weekend. Fuzzy Pom sends his wiggy-waggy, spinning-Pomeranian best to Miss Mele.
