~AM I GOING TO LEAVE THE DISHES UP THERE?.. HEAVENS NO..~

Another day in "Blog Tech" school...and what fun it is.  But here's the thing...as soon as my teacher goes off to do this or that and is ..you know, fixing dinner...all the everyday things we do...I feel like someone threw me into a pool and I don't know how to swim!
I thrash around!

She is so kind..always telling me "Now NO pressure!  Remember, when you are ready!"
So tonight..I thought I would dig out my notes..(YES, I kept notes!)  and fiddled around with color etc.  I've done that before...and there were some things I was familiar with, of course...but doing headers and such is no easy matter.
Maybe when you get used to it...do it all the time...of course it gets easier.
Would you believe we started these lesson on August 25???
No, neither would I!!

Because I have not been taking pictures..or..well doing much of anything lately...I am just posting a picture of my youngest daughter and my two wonderful grandchilden..  Dawn, my baby girl and youngest of the seven,
Sweet Wrenna and my River.
I'm missing them and I wish they lived closer.

That's it!  Long day and it's time for sleep.
I didn't watch the news tonight..so maybe that will help.

Love,
Mona

    1. I have to tell you River's second name. It's Mannanon. I believe, if I remember right, that it is the name of the Celtic god of the Ocean. River's flow to the sea, to the sea... :) Thank you!

  2. Well, for someone who is "thrashing around in the pool" you seem to be learning, quickly....!!!!!!!!! :-)

And the best part is, that you are gaining confidence!!!! Becha', a couple of months ago, if you attempted this, you would have "sunk to the bottom of the pool". ,-)))

But now! You take a couple of deep breaths... You jump in.... And you try stuffffff!!!!!!!!!

And guess what??????? You are floating!!! Your blog is still there!!! And you are having fun!!!!!!

And it is soooooooo much fun! To be able to change things, on our blog. Autumn is coming. You can get out the Autumn Colors, photos, Header, etc. When Thanksgiving comes... You can do the same. And Christmas. And any old day, when you feel like changing, you can! ,-)

Fun! And don't we all hope that fun is the main thing we get, out of our blogging??????? :-))))))

And your family is beautiful!!!! What lovely blogging additions, they make.

  3. I can't wait til you get trained, then maybe you can help me! All I can do is use a template on Picmonkey..... I love the size of the header you have now...do you know what the size is? It is raining here today and pretty cool...feels like fall. We have an auction to go to today, so we'll be inside all day. Have a blessed day....hugs, Penny

    1. I WISH! I am having trouble retaining what I have learned. Sometime I just sit here and stare at the computer in a complete stupor, thinking, WHAT DID I JUST DO???

  10. You're blog is reminding me that I need to change mine up again. I was hoping to get all the Grandkiddos in the pool shots but it's getting too close to fall to keep up the summer header. Oh well, I love yours and all the pumpkins and the beautiful orange! Have a good weekend!

    1. I don't post family photo's too often. It's funny because everyone gets in a tizzy...and then I look on facebook when I get one of those notices from them...and FAMILY PICTURES ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! I don't understand??? The ones I posted of daughter and grands...they don't care. :)

  14. Wow I love the new header. I used to change my header but I am afraid since my daughter has been doing it for me I forgot how to do it. Your daughter and grandkids are beautiful. Have a blessed day and Happy Grandparents day to you. Madeline

    1. Hi Madeline, Thank you! I 'm having fun. I'm catching on that you have to do it a lot..."use it or lose it" is what I've always heard, and I'm afraid it is the same with blogging. I hope..I hope..I don't forget!!

    1. Thank you, Kay! I'm trying...but I get in a panic mode if my teacher isn't around close by. :)
The reason I am doing the comments like this is because I have to use Google to upload photo's...AOL won't do it..

    1. WONDERFUL! I was afraid that because I fiddled around and changed the way comments were received..that I had ruined something. Scared me!! (that's putting it mildly!)

  20. Hi, Mona...good for you, wanting to learn to do these things for yourself. You will find that, once you are comfortable with changing your header, you will do it often..just like when we move things around in our house. A change is good. :)
I have your basket of dishes featured on my post today...come on over....

  21. Great going, Mona, as you said it yourself "use it or lose it" and that is such good advice. Only wish I was taking it and making blog changes too, maybe in time. Once we do finally more there will of course be a redesign and most likely an entirely new blog. But for now I plod along as we work on downsizing. Our next yard sale will be early Oct and too bad you live so far away, dear blogger friend!
