Another day in "Blog Tech" school...and what fun it is. But here's the thing...as soon as my teacher goes off to do this or that and is ..you know, fixing dinner...all the everyday things we do...I feel like someone threw me into a pool and I don't know how to swim!
I thrash around!
She is so kind..always telling me "Now NO pressure! Remember, when you are ready!"
So tonight..I thought I would dig out my notes..(YES, I kept notes!) and fiddled around with color etc. I've done that before...and there were some things I was familiar with, of course...but doing headers and such is no easy matter.
Maybe when you get used to it...do it all the time...of course it gets easier.
Would you believe we started these lesson on August 25???
No, neither would I!!
Because I have not been taking pictures..or..well doing much of anything lately...I am just posting a picture of my youngest daughter and my two wonderful grandchilden.. Dawn, my baby girl and youngest of the seven,
Sweet Wrenna and my River.
I'm missing them and I wish they lived closer.
That's it! Long day and it's time for sleep.
I didn't watch the news tonight..so maybe that will help.
Love,
Mona
Mona, I wish I was there with you for a few lessons so we could compare notes!!! Your grand kids have such great names!!...:)JP
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you River's second name. It's Mannanon. I believe, if I remember right, that it is the name of the Celtic god of the Ocean. River's flow to the sea, to the sea... :) Thank you!
DeleteWell, for someone who is "thrashing around in the pool" you seem to be learning, quickly....!!!!!!!!! :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd the best part is, that you are gaining confidence!!!! Becha', a couple of months ago, if you attempted this, you would have "sunk to the bottom of the pool". ,-)))
But now! You take a couple of deep breaths... You jump in.... And you try stuffffff!!!!!!!!!
And guess what??????? You are floating!!! Your blog is still there!!! And you are having fun!!!!!!
And it is soooooooo much fun! To be able to change things, on our blog. Autumn is coming. You can get out the Autumn Colors, photos, Header, etc. When Thanksgiving comes... You can do the same. And Christmas. And any old day, when you feel like changing, you can! ,-)
Fun! And don't we all hope that fun is the main thing we get, out of our blogging??????? :-))))))
And your family is beautiful!!!! What lovely blogging additions, they make.
Tessa~
:):):) EEEEEEEEHHHAAAAAAA!
DeleteI can't wait til you get trained, then maybe you can help me! All I can do is use a template on Picmonkey..... I love the size of the header you have now...do you know what the size is? It is raining here today and pretty cool...feels like fall. We have an auction to go to today, so we'll be inside all day. Have a blessed day....hugs, Penny
ReplyDeleteYour blog looks wonderful and all done by you. Now we will see Mona in a new light... Love the header. I knew that you could use those dishes in many ways.....even a header for your lovely blog.
ReplyDeleteBalisha
Mona, I admire your courage. I am so sick of my blog...I would love to change it but i honestly can't find my way around this computer and to make matters worse....it just got worked on and our carrier can be a pain too. LOL. I like the soft pink color of yours. Your kids are pretty . xoxo,Susie
ReplyDeletehang in there and some day soon you will think this is so easy.. you are doing great... Kudos to your teacher...
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY! Kudo's to my teacher!! The patience of Jobe!!
Deleteok, once you learn how to do this blog, you will need to come over to my house and teach me, yea right I hear ya now.Lol
ReplyDeleteBarbara
Be right there. It's only 3000 miles away. :)
Deleteyou have the most beautiful family mona!
ReplyDeleteJoyce...thank you!! So do you!!
DeleteOh Mona, your daughter and grandchildren are beautiful. Good luck with computer school - now you can help all of us with our problems LOL.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
Mary
I WISH! I am having trouble retaining what I have learned. Sometime I just sit here and stare at the computer in a complete stupor, thinking, WHAT DID I JUST DO???
DeleteYou're blog is reminding me that I need to change mine up again. I was hoping to get all the Grandkiddos in the pool shots but it's getting too close to fall to keep up the summer header. Oh well, I love yours and all the pumpkins and the beautiful orange! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou best hurry...:) The leaves are beginning to fall and school is already in session!
DeleteYou are doing a fantastic job - I love your photo in the header - all ready for fall. Your daughter is beautiful like you and your grandchildren too!
ReplyDeleteI'm already looking around for other headers.. :) Sweet teacher has created a HEADER MONSTER! :)
DeleteYou are doing much better than I am. I can't do anything with my blog except change the blogger wallpaper. I love your autumn header and the color.
ReplyDeleteAnd soon you'll be the teacher!
ReplyDeleteLiked seeing your kiddo and grands . . .
I don't post family photo's too often. It's funny because everyone gets in a tizzy...and then I look on facebook when I get one of those notices from them...and FAMILY PICTURES ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! I don't understand??? The ones I posted of daughter and grands...they don't care. :)
DeleteWow I love the new header. I used to change my header but I am afraid since my daughter has been doing it for me I forgot how to do it. Your daughter and grandkids are beautiful. Have a blessed day and Happy Grandparents day to you. Madeline
ReplyDeleteHi Madeline, Thank you! I 'm having fun. I'm catching on that you have to do it a lot..."use it or lose it" is what I've always heard, and I'm afraid it is the same with blogging. I hope..I hope..I don't forget!!
DeleteOh my goodness, you are showing out:) Love that sweet picture of your loved ones! Enjoy your Sunday evening dear Mona, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteI think I will sign up for lessons Mona. Even though you are thrashing about you are floating well. What a gorgeous picture of Dawn and her children. They are a handsome bunch.
ReplyDeleteHugs Kay
Thank you, Kay! I'm trying...but I get in a panic mode if my teacher isn't around close by. :)
DeleteThe reason I am doing the comments like this is because I have to use Google to upload photo's...AOL won't do it..
Just testing to see if my comment will upload. Tried again a couple of times earlier, without success.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Des xx
WONDERFUL! I was afraid that because I fiddled around and changed the way comments were received..that I had ruined something. Scared me!! (that's putting it mildly!)
DeleteGREAT! It worked. We are in business once again 😃
ReplyDeleteI was about to go in and change it all back to the way it was...IF I could remember what I had done to get it to this point.
DeleteMorning Mona....well there are some changes going on here. Comment box is different. Love the header! I know it will all be up and running. I bet your house looks very "fallish". Love the table....and the wreath... Keep on pushing girlfriend!
ReplyDeleteJean..my house ..*sigh* looks the same as it did at Easter!
DeleteHi, Mona...good for you, wanting to learn to do these things for yourself. You will find that, once you are comfortable with changing your header, you will do it often..just like when we move things around in our house. A change is good. :)
ReplyDeleteI have your basket of dishes featured on my post today...come on over....
Great going, Mona, as you said it yourself "use it or lose it" and that is such good advice. Only wish I was taking it and making blog changes too, maybe in time. Once we do finally more there will of course be a redesign and most likely an entirely new blog. But for now I plod along as we work on downsizing. Our next yard sale will be early Oct and too bad you live so far away, dear blogger friend!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you taking the time to learn more about your blog and designing it. I just think that's awesome!
