Things are heating up out here in Southern California. 105 today. I stayed inside much of the day..but this morning I got out and watered..clipped a bit and just enjoyed the cool damp grass under my feet.
I'm sorry...but...
I don't have any recipe's for you.... :( It's true. I really don't. Sad, isn't it?
...or any instructions about gardening, I garden with NO plan in mind at all. As a matter of fact..I am a terrible planner. You can tell that by the fact that I had seven children...practically in a row.
So...NEVER listen to me.
You'll only get in trouble...
I can sew..but I cannot tell you how. NO seamstress here..that's for sure. I did, however, make two ball gowns for the Marine Corp Ball once..but that was a long, long time ago. One for my best friend and one for me. (I will NEVER, EVER do that again! I didn't recover for a week and can't even remember much about the Ball! I think I slept through it.)
I can quilt and crochet...(more or less) but would never even think of trying to tell you how.

I can paint, but I promise you it's very mediocre at best..and it's just flowers.
I can play the piano..but certainly nothing I would want to share or you would ever want to hear.
Trust me on this! :)
So..I should just stop right here while I'm ahead.

ReplyDeleteI love your can do's Mona and you know, the more one adds to their plate, just shows their experience and life is just full of those. May you fill that plate to over filling with lots more experiences. Its the fun of learning to do stuff - just learning and trying things until its the best that you can do and you would be surprised at some of those "can do's". I know a little bit about a lot of things...but am an expert in nothing, LOL Still, it's okay...it would be nice to be an expert in something...but then I wouldn't have time to do a little bit of all those other things...right?

Mona,, don't be so hard on your self. I think you do a lot of wonderful things. Your garden is terrific, you raised 7 wonderful children and look at all your wonderful grandchildren. I'm sure your the BEST grandma!

They told us on the news that You might get a heat record now! I've never even been close to 105 F at the moment we're having 48F :-) :-) :-) It's 6:50 am here and it's raining too but they say we'll get sunshine later today and we'll perhaps reach 65F :-) That's Swedish summer :-) :-) :-)
