~THE NIGHT BEFORE...

We had a pre Halloween gathering tonight...and had a great time.
As usual I didn't get many pictures because I was all wrapped up in what was going on and forgot to take pictures..but did manage to get a few.
It went sort of like this....
"So...Patient Husband...wanna carve a pumpkin?  Am I joking?  Well, no..not really.."
Little Emily said " I will if you pay me!" 
Grandson, Joey said "Grandma, don't make me laugh!"
And..the carv..!!!  What the heck?  NEVER, EVER, GIVE EIAN a knife!!  The POOR pumpkin...
We all watched in HORROR as Eian took after this poor shocked pumpkin? 
Can pumpkins be "shocked?"  *shrug*
...the end result!  YIKES!!

The entries are finished...

Daughter, Mary, began the voting...this one?
"Let's hear it for the vomiting pumpkin, urged Mary at the top of her lungs!!"

"OH now, come on!  Everyone vomits sometimes!"  Then Mary fell completely apart with laughter!

The prize?  Oh..well..we forgot about that..but a carmel apple for everybody..and brownies and ice cream...and a great mess time was had by everyone!

P.S.  The party was actually given for Grandson Alex to celebrate a promotion.   Congratulations Alex!!!

    Mona, what a talented family you have! The pumpkin with the face is so good (and spooky). Looks like everyone had a good time. I am about to start pumpkin carving myself, where is everyone when you need them? xxx

    TY for asking Mona, surgery is this Friday & a week from Friday. I'll be ok after it is all done. Be glad to ahve it all behind me.

    Yes, I know sometimes it's hard to stay up with my postings. I post too much...every day about 4. I need to cut them back to just 3 a week...it's just that I miss out on so many parties.:)

    Mona, what creative carvings on those pumpkins. We just returend from our road trip on Halloween and didn't do a pumpkin this year. All we wanted was our own bed after 4 weeks on the road!

    I LOVE Eian's pumpkin! It's appropriately creepy. 2nd place for me was Mr. Vomit. Great job guys!
