~OK...THIS IS THE VERY LAST ONE..~

Rooster..that is.  I HAVE to stop buying them..but there always seems to be one that I cannot pass up..such as this adorable (to me, of course) lamp!

Garage sale Saturday brought this my way...
So...what do you think..was he worth $30 or not.  I thought so and home he came.  Not a single "flea bite" on him..nothing.  Works beautifully.  Nothing loose.  The only thing I found was that the harp was a bit crooked and Patient Husband jumped right in and fixed to perfection!

I found sooo much this Saturday.
Two novels, one of those little cardboard buildings, a lovely little white church that became so expensive.  This I am sure is not an old one..but I loved it.  AND Christmas IS coming you know!

...and...this lovely moss green jacket...
Ok...the second picture is not much better...(always raise your chin up when your picture is taken!) but who cares.  Right?  ME!  ME CARES!

  3. You look amazing for your age, Mona! Would that I could be so lucky! Your jacket is lovely and over all I think you came up trumps with your purchases. The rooster definitely was too good to pass up.

  4. You are darling in your green jacket with that gorgeous hair. I am like you. Own far to many roosters but then when I see a new one I just can't help myself sometimes.

  7. Hi Miss Mona,

I see you found a Friendly Village plate. Mom had a set but finally gave them away.

You look lovely with your new jacket on. You know, a model agency just may call you - you are so beautiful.

    Give Abby hugs from us.

Is the rooster lamp ceramic? It's gorgeous and totally worth the $30.00. BTW, you look marvelous! Such a pretty lady!!

  10. Chin? Chin?? What chin?? I see only roosters, and books, a darling little church, and a great jacket!! Chins don't exist in my world (because if they did, I'd have to count the ones I see in the mirror, and I don't think I can count that high!) lol!

  11. I think the lamp was worth the money. It's beautiful as is the jacket. I have a jacket the same color of green and with our hair color it looks great. Either it's cooled down or you have the AC on because I can't imagine you wearing the jacket if it's still as hot as it was. =^)

Now guess what? I have that same Rooster lamp! I do! I got it at Goodwill for $12! Can you believe it? When I got it home and started cleaning it up I looked under the base and the price sticker was still there - $200! I think we both did good! :)
You always find the best things!
