~HOME TOWN HOMES...~

Every Saturday when we go on our garage sale adventures, we pass this home and every Saturday I say "one of these day's I am going to take a picture of that house and post it!" But I never did, until now.

Saturday morning I dropped my camera into my purse...with intentions of following though this time. I love it when a home catches and holds my attention..like a good book.

The home belongs to friends of my son and is two door down from a home he used to own. I think I will post one of these interesting little cottages from my town from time to time. If I love them just maybe a few of my friends will too. :)
I hope they have a garage sale some day...but...I honestly doubt it! But hey, you never know...
Love and hugs,
Mona
p.s. Maybe I should cook something too...??? :)

  4. I'd love to live in a sweet house like that. Look how lovely the garden-like yard is too! Someone loves that house very much and will probably never, ever sell it. Neither would I.

  5. I always think that whoever lives in such a neat, beautifully-kept little house with such attention to all the color and detail---they must be happy every minute of their lives.

That is a loved house, and you can just imagine how much love there is inside it. It's like a beautifully carved and polished jewel-box, and therefore it must spill out only beautiful things.

At least, I love to think that.

  17. We all know that a house that looks like that is loved and cared for and it isn't easy to keep it like that. I love it and I appreciate the work that goes into keeping it like that. The flowers in the front just set it off perfectly, don't they.

  34. Jean...I hope you come back as you have no blog on which to thank you. I'm glad you like the cottage..it really does have details, doesn't it?
The "thank you!" is for the sweet compliment on the WHITE hair. No matter what they say, it does age you but who cares. At least not any more. :) Actually, it is sort of a relief.

  39. O, hey...here's a great idea. Why don't you host a "HOMETOWN COTTAGES" meme? That would be tons of fun! There's so many cute ones in my town and even if someone lived in a tiny town, many cute cottages on the net to use.

And, I agree with Susan and Bentley about a casserole....:)))
