~IS THAT MY MOTHER I SEE ...LOOKING BACK AT ME?~

My daughter sent me a picture of herself she had taken and wanted one of me. This was last night. So, I picked up my little camera and snapped this. SHOCK! In a bit over a year..I GOT OLD. The picture I posted at the beginning of my blog was taken on November 11, 2007. A little over a year ago and look at what has happened to me. AND I haven't even been running this country! I am turning into my mother. It's not a bad thing. I guess I was just not prepared to see that. Oh well.
I need sleep. I am sleep deprived or I wouldn't post this thing. Wait..I can delete..no..no...this is TRUTH. NO deleting.

  1. Hi Mona,
I saw a comment you left on BJ's blog and wanted to come over and introduce myself! I have two blogs...The Comforts of Home (all about my home and garden) and Lavender Hill Studio (I am a mosaic artist).

You will see from my Comforts of Home blog, that I too love red and roosters! Stop in when you have some time!

  3. Hi, Sweet Mona...my goodness but you are a beautiful lady. Oh, honey....I turned into my mamma several years ago!! lol ..The only thing, she never did get very gray haired and I have been totally white for years and years.
I was reading your profile...my...you have had some sadness in your life, girl. What a trooper you must be to bounce back from all those heartaches. I am thankful God sent this last hubby to you...I think everyone needs someone to take care of and to be taken care of. Just hugs, a kiss or two a day makes a world of difference, I would think.
We are expecting our very first great grandbaby in April. And here you are with quite a few already!
    You are blessed!
Thank you for all your sweet words..I appreciate them so much.
    hugs, bj

  4. Hey girl...you look great!
I told you about my experiences with a husband with cancer and marrying again. My second husband and I emailed at first. He said to send him a picture of myself and I did what you did...snapped one of myself right there at the computer.I look at that picture now and think that I am my mother too. When did this happen to me? I think that we have a softer look now that we are aging.( I guess I should say I'm old)

  8. My goodness! Thank you all for the sweet compliments! I was expecting some laughs and a bit of teasing such as, "get used to it" or "did you know I can see up your nostrils?" OR "Have you noticed the WRINKLES on your neck?!" or "Lady, you're WHITE headed!!" just anything but the sweet compliments and that others had done the same thing! :) I have to tell you, YOU'VE MADE ME FEEL SOOO GOOD!" Thanks!!! Being 72 is beginning to be..rather cool. :)
