I wish the world was the way I thought it was when I was six.
I wish our country was as united as I thought it was and as patriotic as I thought we were..
I wish everyone was always as kind and loving as they are when they blog to those they have never met in person..
I wish we could always keep that child like wonder and not have to grow up and go through such sad times...and heartbreak.
I wish everyone had a big old froggie by their front door to greet guests that could arrive unannounced and be welcome!
"If you don't believe in magic...there will never be any in your life!"
I am sure a very famous person wrote that and truer words were never spoken.
Remember, as my friend Balisha @ Never Enough Time wrote today... always say "I love you" to your loved ones when you say goodby.
I love you...
Mona
I love you Mona..Good night..hugs Gl♥ria
ReplyDeleteVery heartfelt post! I try to always tell my girls I Love Them everyday. Your plants look so lovely and that little peek at your Welcome mat makes me want one. Have a delightful day!
ReplyDeleteAWWWW, I love you too Mona! Sweet post! I have been reading this morning that so many people feel the same way:) HUGS to you sweet friend! Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeletewonderful post! love that froggy. i always tell my kids i love them!
ReplyDeleteI so love reading your posts Mona....so lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnd I wish with you. I've spent the morning writing a little reminiscence of "how graduation was" back in the days when everybody knew everybody, and the whole town turned out for such an important occasion. And your only real worry on that night was that you might forget your speech or that your hat was on crooked.
ReplyDeleteWe never part, any of our Lovies, without I Love You, on the phone or in person. It's important and comforting.
I'll add one wish, just a little personal one: I wish everyone had your sweet spirit.
rachel

Good morning sweet Mona friend,
ReplyDeleteWhat sweet words you have written, and AMEN to each of them written from your heart !! I have to say with me, I STILL go back to the days of being sooo young and naive, and thinking everything to be wonderful and carefree !! It keeps me pushin' on .... There really is sooo much good around us, as, we get older we just recognize the evil and bad soo much more !! And, then, I am always blessed by friends like you who really care and GET IT !! You are an amazing inspiration to me every time I read your posts. LOVE seeing all the beauty you continue to create everyday in your cottage and your yards ... It brings such a peace to my soul and heart .... much needed at this time ... you know .... STILL in a holding pattern, and NOW another needed operation BEFORE the transplant ... HE is being very STRONG, with a STRONG WILL to carry on .... God is GOOD !!! I will share more with you soon ... Love you dearly my friend xo
Hugs ~Tanza~

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Mona, just like you!
ReplyDeleteAnd your plant pics, and outdoor decor, oh do I love them.
Love ya too,

What a wonderful post. Sometimes I think we need not grow up, because a child's mind is full of wonder and an adults is more quickly to criticize.
ReplyDeleteAt least we can still have a mind full of love and compassion for other people if we want to.

I almost never comment, but i did a few searching and wound up here
ReplyDelete"~I WISH..~". And I actually do have a couple of questions for you if you do not mind.
Could it be only me or does it appear like some of
the remarks look as if they are left by brain dead
individuals? :-P And, if you are posting on additional social sites, I'd like to follow anything fresh you have to post. Could you list of the complete urls of all your community sites like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?

I'm truly enjoying the design and layout of your website. It's a very easy

come here and visit more often. Did you hire out a developer to create your theme?
Excellent work!

I wish......, too, Mona.
ReplyDeleteWe always, ALWAYS, say I love you to our family and friends when we or they leave. Started this when our kids were little and now they have taught their kids the same.
I want to live in Never Never Land always...it's much more fun being "a kid" or at least enjoying things LIKE a kid, than being an old, stuffy, "never try anything new" GROWNUP person.
I wish......, too, Mona.

Dear Mona, saying I love you is such a simple phrase and one which Grenville and I also say to one another each morning and at night. Yes, I also say it to friends and family as a closing remarks to a chat or phone call. I wish for many of the same things you mentioned in this post...if only wishing would make it so. Love your sweetness, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteOh Mona - your home looks so inviting. And you know those wishes of yours - are mine too. What happened to the world? I loves yah. sandie
ReplyDeleteDear Mona - what a beautiful post, both your sentiments, which I think very many of us share, and the gorgeous vignettes from your garden. I LOVE your newly painted red chairs dressed in their beautiful new seat covers and you may know I truly adore frogs (although I have personally not yet kissed one!).
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely email...my apologies for not yet having replied, but I've been feeling sorry for myself, having caught a particularly nasty 'flu bug that hasn't yet cottoned on its NOT WELCOME!
Huge hug, but I wont pass on my germs, promise!
Des xoxo
