~TWEAKED AGAIN..~

Yes, so I tweeked the doggone tree again.  So what!  I'm retired and it keeps my mind occupied.
Heavens if one has an idle mind!  So I added candy canes...

All over ....from top to bottom

I LOVE those Old World ornaments and when we visited the BIG library last year (or was it the year before?) I added to my collection and the pocket watch was one of my favorites.

Another lovely blurry photo that makes my head ache..not to mention other places!!!

 L'il rocking horse..

 That's it.
I mean it and tomorrow I am going to do my visiting in the morning with my coffee (with lots of vanilla creamer of course) and toast, being careful not to get the crumbs in my keyboard.

I think I am going to leave mine up this year until New Years Eve if the tree is doing ok.  So far it feels lovely..only four days to go.  Hope, hope, hope it lasts....

You all are doing alright out there?  Please be doing ok.  Life can be a  stressful this time of year for so many reasons.  It's not always the happiest time of year for many.  We each have our burdens, some worse than others.
I wish you wonderful things.  I hope that helps.
Love,
Mona

I do like that pocket watch!

My tree is still to small to be able to carry any of my old ornaments but I think I'll keep my eyes open for new ones when the sales on Christmas things starts :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.

I love the pocket watch and of course your new addition - my Mom always had candy canes on the tree, just for us kids and I put them on my tree as well. Lovely

Dear Mona,
I have read your blog for sometime and love everything you do and write about. I turned 71 this past September so can relate to things you write about. Your tree is lovely as you are. I enjoy the pictures of your home and the neat things that you collect at the yard sales. Been there and done that for year. My house is packed. LOL
You have a beautiful family and I enjoy reading about them.
The holidays are "bittersweet" for many people. It bring good memories as well as problems but with out faith we just keep going and be thankful.
Have a Merry Christmas and thanks for sharing your thoughts and pictures with the rest of us.
Hugs,
Connie

Candy canes...the perfect treat. One year I accidentally put away some candy canes with the decorations. The next year my oldest daughter discovered how delicious year old candy canes were. It became a tradition...silly, I know. Nothing gets you in the mood for decorating the tree like a year old piece of candy.

Merry Christmas, dear Mona!

The candy canes really do give it a special touch and I love all of your collected ornaments. I know each and every one is special. We are keeping things simple and not feeling any stress. I've had fun decorating and hunting for vintage goodies. Enjoy these next few days! Merry Christmas my friend! Sweet hugs, Diane
