~A BLOCK AND A TABLE TOP~

I have bloggers block I think.  I haven't traveled anywhere...bought anything, changed anything.
Just nothing.  I did make a fantastic recipe for Chicken Enchaladas that I found on Annie's Eats.
These were by far the best I have ever eaten. 
I am not that great a photographer to take photos that would probably just show the dish not looking as good as it was...so check out Annie's Eats...as Annie said "you WON'T be disappointed." 
So..there goes my TABLE TOP TUESDAY with Marty!   :(

She didn't want to sit on the table!  :(
Mele Kalikimaka was a Christmas present to me to me in 2004.  We call her Mele.  She is my pride and joy.
I love this tray, but, it's on the WALL!  (I know, I know...the plates have to go!!)
I guess.
WHY that wall looks PINK I do not know.  The flash?  But the pot is red..it's true color.  Hmmm...


I bought a new red silk lampshade for my kitchen because the other one was glarey and well...things are now sort of red in my kitchen.  LOL   Change lamps?  Change shades?  Take it back?  Decisions, decisions!

I LOVE my new red Mosser cake double cake plate.  Found it on Ebay.  It arrived a couple of days ago! 
It was filled with BIG cupcakes last night...honest.  You would think by now I could remember to TAKE pictures!!!  

Sooo..I DID buy something.  Just not today...  :)


She loves me unconditionally.   :)  At least she's sitting on a chair  AND she thinks I'm nuts!  
She always listens so carefully to me.
Always there.  Always cares .  My Mele.

    Oh, Mona! For some reason I'm feeling all teary-eyed...not from sadness, though...just the sheer happiness and joy at being able to share these precious peeks into your life and lovely, LOVELY home! Mele is so beautiful and she has the most alert, attentive, bright, clear eyes! What an absolute little darling! She's clearly incredibly well loved in return for her unconditional loyalty. Just look at how shiny and well-cared for she is. You must brush her several times a day :)

    You have such a wonderful kitchen. It looks so comfortable and homely in the very best sense of the word. You truly are a gifted homemaker, Mona!!! I LOVE VISITING YOU!!!

    I guess you're all terribly busy preparing for your Thanksgiving dinner...I wish you and your family a joyous and blessed time together. Big hug xoxo

    Yep, I can imagine what a red cast your lamp throws in you charmin' red kitchen. Hon, I'd just change the lampshade out for a beige or light gold that will give you the soft glow you
    desire. 'Just sayin'.....

    Oh Mona... you have to know by now that I LOVE little Poms! (I think I tell you that every time you share a picture of yours.) Mele reminds me so much of my beloved Weezie. I still think about her... and dear brave Chester.

    You had LOTS to share today. I love the teapot and the red cake plates are so wonderful... especially for Christmas, Valentines Day and even the Fourth of July. They will give you a lot of posting mileage.

    I sometime do the same thing....My life just gets to busy to even take pictures...When I do cook a great dish that I could share with my friends, I forget to take pictures...??

    Very pretty Mona! See, even everyday musings are blog worthy. We used to have a beautiful cranberry hanging light in my kitchen but it made everything a bit rosy and not as bright as I wanted. I packed it up and now I'm thinking of selling it because it's a shame to have it in a box not being enjoyed. Your pup is adorable and you can tell she loves you just by how happy she is to pose for pics! Have a great Thanksgiving!

    You said things are "sort of " red in your kitchen due to a new red lamp shade. Things are more than "sort of " red in my kitchen. I have birch cabinets with bright, fire engine red counter tops. I love it and wouldn't change it for anything. Red was my late wife's signature color. She was "famous" for her years and years of wearing glasses with red frames.
    So, when we did the kitchen in our "new" house, she wanted it to be red, so it is!
