~MY MUG SHOT~

Good morning!  First of all, I have a new mug shot as you can see below.  I know it's not the greatest but I needed one that is gray headed..because that is what I am now.  Totally.  The other picture was only a little over two years old, but folks change in that length of time.  I know I did.

And at my age, I wasn't fooling anyone..and just in case I meet someone from blogland in person I don't want them to be shocked.  I am trying to start the New Year off right here...

I was just reading a wonderful and popular blog and was awed by her organizational skills!  It was inspirational...but..not sure I can equal anything so wonderful as that...however..an updated photo is a start I guess.  I said "I guess"... :)

You know what?  I think I will just wait until all the construction is done around here.  Wait..no..Howard's daughter is flying in tonight.  I HAVE to do that guest room and it's filled with "stuff" right now.  Even the workers have shoved some things in there...so..that will be my first order of business.  Get their "stuff" out of there.

What about all those Teddy Bears.  I hate to stuff their little bods into an trash bag..but...afraid I must!
And all those quilts?   ...still they look so pretty piled up on top of my antique dresser.
Clutter...hmmm...where to start...
This is all overwhelming.  Besides it's nearly 10 a.m. and time for the VIEW.  Maybe later?
Have a wonderful weekend.  I hope there are some garage sales this weekend.  Oh wait!  I need to do some uncluttering first!

I think I need to pop back over to Melissa's (Melissa's Heart And Home) for another shot of inspiration...
Anyone know where I can get some "energy?"  Another cup of coffee?  Coming right up!!!
Hugs,
Mona

Mona, you are so funny and your are also Stunning!!! I love your new pic. My hair still isn't pretty gray, just that mousy color that is part brown, part blond and part gray. Yours looks fabulous. I saw Melissa's post also, boy, there is no way I will never be that organized. She is amazing. Have fun this weekend and just relax. Hugs, Marty

I hear ya girl. Just can't seem to get on top of all the things I need to clear out and organize. Overwhelming me this year for some reason. Your hair looks lovely as does your profile pic.

Hi Gertrude,

Oh my, teddy bear bods in plastic bags. Don't let Prudence hear you say that. Okay, give them a hug and tell them to go into their "travel" sleep. They will know exactly what to do.

Oh no, here comes trouble...Prudence.

Miss Mona,

We have to talk. Bods? No, we have teddy bear bodies. The plastic bags? It's okay, just do as M said - we know all about the special travel sleep. They will be okay. (o: And I do love you.

Heaps of Hugs
Prudence

Okay, Gert I am back. Just don't forget to breathe....everything will fall into place.

Hugs,
Mary Jane

You're BEAUTIFUL Mona -- beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Oh boy, do I need some organizational inspirations!

no! I don't believe you put teddy bears in a trash bag. Please tell me no?
I like your new picture. I too am going to go grey this year. It is time and perhaps folks will give me some respect if I do that? It's good not to look your age, but then when you get treated like you're 40 instead of 60, well, it's hard.
Blessings, Star

Hi Mona, reading your blog sure made me feel better because when I had my hair cut today, I said no color and was asked "are you sure?" After "hiding" my gray hair for so many years after it started graying in my 30s, I decided this was the year to go "au natural" and think I have made the best decision, even though it will take awhile to get used to this "new" look. As for the teddy bears in bags, sure they will udnerstand it's only temporary - good luck with the de-cluttering...oh wait, you DID say you were going to more sales.

Mona you are beautiful and my hero just like the song says. I want hair just like yours one day. Gorgeous!

Thank you for mentioning my post. You're so sweet to do that. I'm happy to inspire you and others. Organizing is fun! Maybe I have found a new part time job for myself. Hmmmm....:)

Happy weekend! ~Melissa :)

Your silver hair is very becoming and the photo of you is charming. Just think when the bears get come back from their hibernation you will feel like you are discovering them all over again.

It will just sound "so cliche" if I now also tell you what I think, since everyone's beaten me to it already!

So, I'll say it in Afrikaans, how's that?

Jy is pragtig, Mona. 'n Baie, baie mooi vroumens ;)

Sorry, you don't speak or understand Afrikaans? Oh dear! Guess you'll just have to go back and reread everyone else's comments about how beautiful you are :)

The MELISSA you refer to here...is she the author of the delightful blog, Empress of Dirt???

Your picture is beautiful. I love that smile.
My Boyd bears have been away too for a season or two. Have to decluttered somewhat. Enjoy your time with family and don't worry to much about the stuff. They came to see you!

Thanks for stopping by... I am glad you love the houses I had posted. They are special and found a good home.

Love your mug.

What a wonderful family you have... looking at all their pictures. Enjoy the visit... even if you need to clean a room... I have been de-cluttering a little more each year. Parting with "things" that I couldn't live without. How time changes "things".

Live life now... enjoy the moments...

Thanks for stopping by.

Oh, you're so brave Mona. I was going to let my hair grow out but then my son was getting married and I hated to meet her family for the first time with 4 inches of gray and the rest from a bottle... so I died it again. Really want to do this though and am thinking of having it died gray to get a head start!

Yes you are a beauty; I love that shot; my pictures never turn out very good;I am kind of shy to post them. Wishing you great week; lovely music.

I agree with Rita...you look beautiful. Isn't it refreshing to be your natural self? There is something to being authentic! Love it!

Hi Mona,
Just checking in....cant sleep, had an iced coffee this afternoon....your new blog page is so
pretty. I love your white hair...as my sister so
wisely put it. "I earned every one of them". Mine
is natural also and is going to stay that way....
Love to you !
