~JUST ONE OF THE FALLIN' WOMEN OUT THERE..~

Lighting to me is so important.  I bought this fixture from Spiegel many years ago and I still love it.
I wound two garlands together, added some pretty Fall ribbon...good enough!

I wound this pretty delicate garland around the base of my little iron lamp on the sofa table..I think I like it!
Both lamp, shade and and garland...garage sale items.  The lamp and shade were $3.00 and the garland was found in the container full of Fall items.  There were several of them.  I loved the delicate colors.

...and here it is all lit!!
The pumpkin candles...little silver candle holder...and candle ring..yep.
Pumpkin candles and the candle ring were in that container and the silver plate candle holder, complete with chimney were from a garage sale.  It is one of my favorite things.

Sweet Mr. Rooster all stuffed with Fall leaves...he is just an all season guy! :)

Another cloche, of course.  Hard to store these things so you just have to use them...*sigh*
Right about now I'm running out of steam!  Just one more...

I love this crow.  He is heavy and even though he is suppose to be out at Halloween...who cares.  I love him.
Soooo....
Should I bring out the witches??  I mean September is nearly over...and it all goes so fast!  I guess not.  I'll wait for awhile but I am soooo tempted.  I LOVE them Witches!

Love and hugs,
Mona

  1. You are beginning to get into 'fall' now, aren't you Mona. I love all your ornaments and lights. Is that Brambly Hedge I see there? I love that too although I don't have any myself.
Can you tell me why the crow is significant at Fall? I've seen him all over the place in America but I don't know why. What is his folklore, please?

  10. Hi Mona,
So pretty all your fall colors. I will be a "Fallen" woman soon too, "I hope";)
The color of paint we used for the doors is from Lowe's and is called Basket SR812 Valspar signature color.
Thank you for very sweet and kind comments.

  11. I wanna be a FALLIN' Woman, too!!! The scent in the air, and the feel of the season's turn---those say NEST, and we all scurry to feather ours before the cold comes.

It's just so nice that the urge to gather and put by is such a pleasant thing---enjoyment of the decorating, the getting out of last year's memories, the recognizing of forgotten or lost bits and pieces which make such a hospitable whole. Those are the joys of Fall, and it's HERE!!

Next weekend: Hayride to go choose some pumpkins.

  12. I'm betting a bag of candy corn that you can't make it to October 1st without setting out at least one witch! It's okay though, all us fallin' girls are a little witchy!

  20. G'morn, Mona ~ I never am a 'fallen' woman. My decor grows 'roots' except during Christmas. Your decor is as scrumptious as last years. So love to see what you will do next ...

    Have a great day ~

  23. Go for it, NOW, and put out the witches! I stuck mine in an unobtrusive place for now and they'll be ready for center stage closer to Halloween. Probably after I get back from the furniture market. I'm looking forward to seeing all the new things that are coming out for next year!
I have been a "fallen" woman for some time now- I started decorating about 3 weeks ago and I'm still not done. LOL Life does tend to get in the way....
Hope all is well with you, Mona. Haven't heard from ya for a while. Love all the color you're bringing out, especially like that rooster stuffed with all those leaves. Hope you get your porch covered. I know how hot it can get where you are. #1 son lived in Palm Desert and I was there during the month of July. Hotter than Hades!! :-)
    hugs, Sue
