~I FEEL SO BAD, I'VE GOT A WORRIED MIND~

I do. I lost my last post and all my precious comments from all of you. Di, at THE BLUE RIDGE GAL. She helped me try to fix my sidebar which disappeared to below my comments. I also lost my lovely frills around the sides.
She finally had to delete my last post which had an error in it and caused this to happen.
While she was in there I had her enlarge my header..and she did a few little extra's for me.

Is that not a friend?? Now I have a pokie dot border...but that's ok. I can always change it back but then I would have to go back to my small header. I don't know how it all works.
I wish I knew how to do it all myself..but I have a fear of losing my entire blog...and that would be a true disaster.
Anyway..it was a day of stress, blogwise. You know?

I finally got the nerve to paint my big old coffee table. It is solid oak and I kept saying I was going to refinish it..but never did.
Then I decided to do it black. I found it on a curb for just $30, so it is not as if I am ruining an expensive table...still...oak... *sigh*

Anyway...it's done. Finally! I am on a paint kick lately..told sweet husband...just keep movin' or you will get painted...
He ALWAYS looks at me when I say things like that...like he believes me! Well, two years together...I mean, he was used to someone MUCH sweeter than me. *sigh*

So..today I lost MANY of my sweet comments, my 7 little known facts about me..(I will redo that one) and my frilly trim! :(
Thanks, Di, for all your help. I am so delighted to have my sidebar back..plus the extra things you added for me!!
Love and hugs to all of you,
Mona

  1. Love your painted table! It does get addicting once you start to paint things.

Sorry about your blog messing up. That happened to me once. I would like to change my whole blog around to get the bigger pictures but I'm to scared to mess with it. Plus, I can't afford to pay someone to do it right now.

    Hugs,
    Joanne

  4. Love your table! Black just gives a room a "pop" as that over-used word says. I had my kitchen island painted black and I love it.
    Have a great day.

  6. My dear, there will be no shortages of sweet comments as long as you keep posting.

I love the table! Like you I cringed with the thought of paint. Paint does come off if you ever dedide to go natural again.

I can't believe you found that beauty so reasonably priced! If you find those kind of bargains, I need to go yard saling with you!

  15. We love our blogs don't we?? If anything bad happens to them we are in a panic. Sometimes ( well, often) when I mess something up on my blog I feel like the world is coming to an end. My husband just laughs it off, which is probably what I should do too. Now about that table ... I love it painted black!! I'm on a painting kick too. I'm on a mini vacation at home this week and I have been painting up a storm. Bentley crinkles up his nose at the smell of paint, but it doesn't keep him from checking up on my projects. I bet between the two of us, the price of paint stock has gone up!!

    Love,
    Susan and Bentley

  21. Hi Mona,
I just had to get over here before we leave tomorrow. I am glad you got your blog all fixed it looks very nice. And the color you asked about is called apple red. Yes indeedy! Apple Red and it's a true clear red and I love it. We got it through Dutch Boy paints.

  22. Hi Mona! I'm sorry to learn that you've had problems with your Blog...mine has been acting up too but nothing like what happened to yours. It still looks very nice though. I'm like you...I'm afraid to fiddle around with mine for fear of loosing it...I'd hate to have to start over! You did a beautiful job on your table...it's amazing what a coat of paint can do. Good for you for getting your nerve up! I hope you have a wonderful Friday...Maura :)

  23. Mona, the table looks great painted black. Did you put a clear finish on it afterwards? I used a spray paint that had a clear coat finish already in it for the chest I re-did. Got it from the touch-up/re-finishing guy that works at our furniture store. Your blog dress looks very "purty" in polka dots!

  24. Hi Mona, this is Cristina (Emily's mom). This is my first post but I'm always reading your blog. You know that! :)
Well, I will love to paint our dining room set and I will ask you how to do it. It is white now but I want to paint it dark brown (espresso). We bought this set long time ago in San Francisco for our kitchen. So, I will appreciate if you show me how to paint it. Thanks, Mona. I love your coffee table!! And your blog too!
    Love, Cristina
