~AAHHHHH....HANGING BASKETS..FINALLY....~

Join Tootsie at TOOTSIE TIME and Fertilizer Friday.. Tootsie has redone her front yard and it is adorable. You must go see.

I have meant to do this for a long time. What I originally wanted was those flower baskets that attach to the railing...but my flowers grow so tall the would probably overpower them..

..so I opted for these from Lowe's. They were nearly out of them and I don't have the patience to wait..so these were my choices.
I bought two for the back patio also..

...I think the little curly Q's on the fence would hinder the other kind anyway.. :)
As you see, it doesn't look so good. I cut all the flowers back because they were getting leggy and beginning to fade...but...

/..do you see those tiny sprigs already beginning to come back...soon they will be tall and lovely again! (I hope!)

...and this is my HEART of Ivy that my dear daughter gave me from her yard. You could see the wire when I got it...and now just look at it...

...ok...so it needed a bit of a haircut to show it's HEART shape...and of course now you can see the little bunny there nestling in the leaves...don'cha love it? I do!

Love and hugs and thanks to TOOTSIE at Fertilizer Friday's Flaunt Your Flowers!

Mona

  8. Oh Mona, I love all the wonderful plants you are able to grow there. The desert is a whole nother story. lol Yours look just gorgeous. You asked about the red brick fabric with the bees. I know exactly the one you are talking about and I think it is a classic and by all means I would use it. Not outdated at all. What are you going to do with it? I can't wait to see. Wow, with a bolt I could dream up all kinds of things. Let's see, drapes, a nice bedskirt, chair cushions and on and on. I just plain love fabric. Hope you have a super weekend. Hugs, Marty

  12. It´s so nice to see that there´s summer some where on this world :-) We still have it rather cold here and nothing really wants to start of the summer flowers. But I can´t remember a spring ever continuing so long as it has here this year :-)

I really like Your hanging baskets! Especially the yeloowish one!
    Have a great day now!

  20. Oh, brother, can I relate to your being locked out of the house! Cute write, tho ... don't you just get aggravated when you can't remember codes, have no phone & can't pick a lock?! Glad you met some lovely neighbors & your plants enjoyed the 'pickin'... & you are safely inside now.

Your plants are lovely & lush, Mona.

May your Memorial weekend & celebrations be safe & enjoyable, filled merriment ... as you solemnly remember those that have passed before us & our military that protect(ed)s our freedoms. LET FREEDOM RING!!

    Hugs of love, Marydon
