~A LOVELY EASTER..THEN AN EARTHQUAKE~

I hope your Easter was as lovely as ours...however it ended with a quake. Still getting reports from relatives in San Diego.
I was on the potty when it hit. Not the greatest place to be...and for a second I thought..something was wrong with the toilet. I HURRIED out of there and the family was milling about or sitting stalk still with that worried look. Some were so busy that they nearly didn't notice it.
My sister, who lives south of San Diego said it terrified them..that water sloshed out of their pool and the children were screaming. Things fell in the house and her pictures on the wall were all crooked...
After shocks are still happening down in that area.
I have not been able to reach my aunt and uncle and they are right on the border of Mexico.
Gotta run...
All's well with me and mine...as far as I know at this time....
Love and hugs...
Mona

  2. I just emailed you Mona, I should have checked your blog first. I really hope all is well with your relatives. What poor timing for a quake. I know it's serious but you made me laugh. From the update I just read on Yahoo! it doesn't sound to bad, let's pray they're right.

  6. Our son who lives in La Jolla called to tell us about the earthquake... hoping to let us know before we heard about it on tv. When we heard the magnatude we sure got concerned. We lived through several good size shakes in Mexico and my husband went through a terrible earthquake in Mexico. They do shake a person up for sure. So glad you are okay!

  9. I was driving home from a movie with my sister and my other sister called us to make sure we were ok. We didn't feel a thing. We were right down the street from my house and when we came inside I noticed the water was still splashing out of the pool. Crazy. I did feel the after shocks.

Sure hope your aunt and uncle are ok.

    Hugs,
    Joanne

  15. Good Morning Mona, Wow what a way to end the Easter holiday with a bang...scary. I've never experienced an earthquake and I hope I never do...I have nightmares about them! Now if I can just get through tornado season without experiencing one I'll be REALLY happy. I hope all is well with the rest of your family and I hope the shaking is over with for all of your sakes. Take care. Maura

  29. Spokeo is a business that should be put out of business, Mona. I wrote of this terrible company about a week or so ago. Go to the front page, on the very bottom click on privacy & remove yourself. They show everything about you.

Glad to know that you are all safe & sound. Have lived thru CA & WA.ST. earthquakes ... MD. looks good.

Hope you had a wonderful & joyful Easter.

    Have a beautiful week.

  31. Just one of the many reasons we moved out of California. I use to be in tears when my wood floors would start to roll a bit and things would fall off the shelves. Glad you and your family are all OK.
