~PANIC IS SETTING IN....~

Just kiddin'... :)

The only thing that is keeping me calm is knowing that it is ONLY the 2nd of December...still..not much of anything is getting accomplished. But I'm trying!

So..that being said...no Christmas pictures yet. However...since I don't want you to go away TOTALLY empty handed, LOL, I am letting you see my hammer. Yes, I said my hammer! I love it and it has been with me for years and years. I use it constantly and it has held up very well..my painted lady!

Cute little bottom...with a tassel..AND beads!

Hand painted no less! One of a kind!

I used to get my hammers taken..by heaven knows who...but they disappeared. Once a woman who was working with a contractor for us took another one...and it had paint smeared on it...said she would bring it back..but never did. So..I got this one and it has never left me. Do you suppose...do you suppose that people think it's ugly??
:( That couldn't be true...do you think? Of course not!

I shall return with Christmas decor pictures soon..however I am fast becoming intimidated.. :) I have seen such lovliness! And there is more to come!

Ok..wait...another problem. Much of what I have is from last year ..but wait again...I had just started blogging so not too many saw it. (I hope) Back to work I go!
Hugs and smiles to you all.. (y'all?)
Mona

  2. Hi Dear Mona! Oh, what a pretty hammer! I want a pretty hammer! :)
Don't worry about your Christmasy being from last year! Mine is too. I just seem to use it differently every year. Can't wait to see yours.

  4. Mona,

Love your hammer!! It's for a diva!!! And it sure beats what I use, usually any old shoe lying around! lol!

I am right along side you sister in the decorating department!! I seem to be running errands and shopping and we have all sorts of social things piling up...so the boxes are always the last thing I can get to and I'm already beat!! I have all the same from year to year with a few small additions. It's all in the arrangements!

Enjoy the rest of your week, sweet lady!

    xoxo

  6. Pretty hammer, Mona. I used to paint those years ago. I hope that you are feeling better. Inflamed arteries sound better than a stroke.Have you noticed hearing loss for very long? Enough questions, Balisha. Hope you can start your decorating soon. I know how you enjoy pretty things.

  7. Oh my gosh your too funny. True story: When I left New England, my uncle who is an absolute genius told me, "with a good hammer and a prayer, you can build anything". With a hug a gift we said our goodbye's. I didn't open that package til I got to Kansas with my new husband. After I was unpacked and the kids were set in school, I opened that box. I couldn't before as I probably would not have made it out the door. But I sat there by myself in that trailer with hubs on base at work and the two kids at school. I opened that box and within was a 20oz construction hammer and a palm bible!

Happy Holidays friend! Love and hugs to you.

  8. I love your hammer! Makes me want to paint mine. I did get a pink toolbox last year for Christmas and it had a pink hammer in it. Nobody uses it but me! Oh and I'm like you with the decorations, etc. I'm trying to not get all sterssed about it. Usually by this time I have everything done but I'm so behind this year. Got the tree up but no decorations on it yet! Don't even know what box they are in! Oh well...

Take care and try not to get too stressed out.
    Hugs,

  9. Girl, that is one good looking, designer chic
hammer. Also, I know what you mean by time running out. I haven't done any shopping for gifts! Yikes! I am a late shopper when it comes to buying gifts, so it's not unusual for me to scramble at the last minute!
Can't wait to see your decorations. I'm gonna try and get mine up this week and then share some photos too.

  10. That is a lovely hammer! I think the reason no one has stolen it yet is because it was probably all male contractors taking them and this one would really stand out in their tool box!

  11. Hi Mona,
I love your painted hammer. It has attitude, and I think it’s a great idea! Did you paint it yourself or buy it that way? I’ve been working on Christmas this past week, but it’s the first time in several years I’ve gone all out. We are expecting company and planning a party so that is a great motivator. HO, HO, HO!

    Enjoy, Cathy

  15. Your hanner has class. My thought is that no man would use a fancy hanner and that is why you have not lost this one. (My husband always borrows my little hanner but forgets to put it back. He probably would not want to be seen using a fancy one like you have.) Guess what I will be doing with my hanner. Ha Ha

  16. Hi Mona!

If I had a darling hammer like that...every day would be "hammer time", and I'd be telling everyone "you can't touch this"... hee hee!!

    Big hugs,
    Sherri:)

  17. I love your hammer. What a great idea. It reminds me of my scissors in my desk drawer at the office. I wrote in permanent marker, "SMB! Back off! Mine!"

  19. What a gorgeous hammer! Perhaps if I painted ALL the tools in my personal tool box, hubby and kids would leave them be!

  21. That is an excellent hammer. I have a smaller size one like this that I hide in my closet so NO ONE will take it. But I am now getting inspired by your cool one. I think I need to decorate my hammer.
