~Thanks to Susan of A SOUTHERN DAYDREAMER for hosting our day in the outdoors.
I didn't wander far today...just out onto the patio...but next year I hope to have a garden and more flowers to show off through the Spring and Summer and into the Fall!
This patio is becoming dear to me as I watch it evolve into a place we can enjoy and relax...
A large braided outdoor rug helps warm up this large space.... though it certainly didn't need warming up today...soon though...I hope.
And this is my favorite bird house. Yep...I think I could live there if I were a Mama bird...with seven eggs? :)
And this is the rug I found this Saturday at a garage sale for $8.00! Brand new! Did you hear me? BRAND NEW! The woman said her son bought it and then moved away and left it.
Makes me smile just to think of it!!
It's got the black...and the deep reds... see me smile? :):):)
And did I tell you it was BRAND NEW?
I love old windows.
My first attempt to paint roses..so..please do NOT enlarge! Wait! Do NOT ENLARGE!
My pumpkin bird house..its been rained on for years and has survived.
My favorite old wood bench. (OH NO! My box of kleenex is down there! Oh well. :)
I used to keep the bench inside..but since the patio is covered I thought I would leave it out.
I'm still working on this area. Who am I kidding..I am always working on everything!
~The End~
I hope your Wednesday is wonderful. Howard is off to Maine in the early A.M. and I will miss him!
Love and hugs,
Mona

What a great place to kick it back with a good book and a tall glass of tea. It all reflects the sweetness of your spirit, Mona. I would love an area with plush cushions and the like but the critters would have a heyday with them. We have cougars, bears, 'coons, and on and on and on. You have a most blessed day!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Mona,
ReplyDeleteYour porch looks like such an inviting spot, especially with those comfy looking cushions at your table. I could just picture you and I sitting there and having a long conversation over coffee or tea!

What a deal you got on that rug!! It is beautiful!! You know that everyone probably enlarged it when you said not to. Kinda like when someone drinks something really gross and everyone else has to know how bad it tastes...!! Funny thing is, I thought they looked great!! I could never paint anything anywhere near as good as you did!! Kudos for you!! I could spend forever on that patio!! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the beautiful pictures. You are a wonderful photographer.
ReplyDeleteHow inviting your patio, Mona. It brings such warmth to the pics of your respite. Your roes are very nice, they look really great on the window panes. And, that CARPET for $8, you go girl!! Steal of the month, lucky you.

Such a beautiful patio. Great buy on the rug, I love a good find. Aren't you sad...garage sales are almost over for the year, at least they are in Pennsylvania. If you live in warmer climates, you probably still have a lot of them.
ReplyDeleteLovely porch. I love your autumn theme. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day,
ReplyDeleteVal
Your patio looks like such a lovely, inviting place! I loved all the photos, especially the one of the wood bench with all the pinecones. (And I wouldn't have noticed that box of tissues if you hadn't pointed it out!) Have a great Wednesday (what's left of it)!
