~SUMMERTIME..AND THE LIVIN' IS EASY...~
Thank you to Designs by Gollum for hosting our "Foodie Friday" to share tasty treats with our bloggy friends. This is a first for me..and not being huge on cooking up delectable treats any more...(my children have taken over!) my contribution is (again) small.
I recently found this lovely silver plate cake plate on ebay...and won! Not having a cake to put on it...I piled it with fresh peaches. Today was grocery day..and Costco was first on our list. A case of these...and you KNOW it is summer..
This is a new discovery we made at Costco. It is Blueberry Bread by INN KEEPERS and we love it. I toasted mine, added butter and YUM! Apparently, from the package, they feature it on "bread.com". We bought it on our last trip...and indulged again.
It says "It's the bread you would bake if you had the time!" Ahhhh...so true!
Another ebay find was this wonderful orange jam container..which I filled with strawberry jam. It is big and holds a LOT of jam! I think it is one of my favorite things. It just arrived two days ago. Cute? I think so!
Have a wonderful Foodie Friday everyone...treat yourself and others well! Feed them toast and tea and the world will be a better place. I promise.
Smiles and hugs...
Mona

ReplyDeleteI have never been to Costco, but yours is the second post on FF that mentioned it... so now I'm determined to try. I need to try a salad dressing that was mentioned and your bread.

Thanks a lot...the peaches look so good, I'm now craving one. I have to work today, so it will be late today before I can satisfy my craving. For shame, to make the pictures look so tasty.
ReplyDeleteMona, I love Costco too! What would we do without it!! I will have to try the blueberry bread - haven't seen it at our store. I do like the cinnamon bread though. You tablescape is precious too!!! Hdave a happy Friday!

Funny. I bake a cake yesterday and had no cake plate to put it on. Together, we could have kicked foodie friday in the britches!!
ReplyDeleteHowever, your peaches, strawberry's and toast all look just as tasty to me. A small glass of OJ and we're off for the day.
Okie dokie ... I'm heading to Costco. Have to have that bread so I hope ours sells it.
ReplyDeleteLove your presentations, Mona ... always perfect & elegant.

Gosh Mona, Now I am going to have to make a run to Costco. Blueberry bread. I need some of that. Thanks for sharing. The peaches looked absolutely devine. I love your cake plate. What rule is there that we use it only for cakes? I love when you stop by. Please stop by as I have left something for you on my blog. I so enjoy our time together. You are such a special lady and when I come here, I feel like I am coming home. Country Hugs, Sherry
ReplyDeleteDelightful post, Mona. Now I'm off to make toast and jam. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks beautiful! I've never looked at the name of the bread we buy at Cosco (it can be different in different areas of the country) but I love the blueberry bread they stock in the Oregon stores. There is also an apple cinnamon variety that's wonderful as well. I love your little
ReplyDeletejar pot - its color is wonderful. Your photos are terrific by the way.
OK, after drooling over that bread - I sure our Costco carries it!!!

ReplyDeleteMona, I hope you scrolled down past the lemon post. Your gift is in the next post down. I left a much deserved award for you. I just wanted to make sure that you saw it, and was not in awe over the photo. We are such sentimental fools I know. I wish you lived close to me. I know we would have such wonderful teas together. I so enjoy time with you. You are a jewel my friend, a true jewel. Country Hugs, Sherry

I recently tried this bread and you're right....it is delicious! It's becoming a favorite around here! I also had a very similar little orange jam jar and was heart broken when it broke. You've inspired me to search around on E-bay......who knows, I may find another one!

ReplyDeleteRE: MONA'S ABSENCE - Hi my name is Kristy and I am Mona's oldest grand child. I see on here that a few of you are concerned and wanted to let you know that she is okay. She has been battling an illness and has been in the hospital since last Sunday. She is set to be released today I believe. She will be online as soon as she is able. Thank you so much for your concern. She misses you all as well.
