WHAT THE...HECK?

This picture was taken by somebody..I don't remember who as it was back in 1951. I think I was 14, perhaps 15 years old. It surfaced recently on Classmates.com and was sent to me. The blond girl in the picture was my best friend. I still have not found her but would love to know if she is still alive. Was I ever really that young, not to mention that thin? Where have the years gone? Where did they all go?
Not sure why I am even posting it...maybe I'm tired? Yeah..that's it..

  1. What a great photo to find. I had those shoes too.

I had blood work done this past week. My thyroid is fine (with meds) but my hormones are low. One was in the red. I see my GYN next week and we will see what needs to be done. Thanks for thinking about me.

    Lots of hugs

  2. Wow Mona! That is the greatest picture! I have a theory...we fell asleep at some point...and then there were the body snatchers. I'm still trying to hunt mine down.

  3. fabulous photo! I think everyone would like to have their old body back, but with the wisdom of a 50 year old.

Glad to hear I am not the only one who doesn't plan a menu.
    I love the picture.
I wonder what some of the young people today will think when they look back at their pictures?

  6. Oh, how this reminds me of my best friend and I back in 1953. We graduated in '56 and we are still best friends. She lives less than 50 miles from me. She and I actually met in 7th grade. One that beats that is my best friend here in the same town...we started 2nd grade together, went all thru school, graduated together...both moved off for awhile, both ended up here in lubbock and we see ea other about oonce a week for lunch and shopping. New friends are wonderful...old friends are very hard to beat...
AND...if ever you do find out where all the years went so fast..let me know cause MY years are probably in the same place!!
OH, and peanut butter on my toast is one of my very favorite breakfasts...
